Why aren't Black folk anti-immigration?

This has always puzzled me. Has it not dawned on us that Hispanics would further dilute Black opportunity? Hispanics would get all the benefits of being a minority without the level of discrimination Black folk get. And quiet as kept, many Hispanics want to come here to mesh into the "majority" (think, Ted Cruz)
 
Our people look for coalitions, even though the coalitions do not benefit us. I argue the same thing about white liberal pet issues that don't impact us but we go out of the way to support.
 



I've always wondered this too. No other race fights for black people, but we fight for them. Asians, Hispanics and Arabic people use black people for their benefits and don't supporter anything black. In fact other minorities we're jealous a black man became president before their group did.

And align with the KKK and other white nationalists. Count me out. Immigration is a good thing for our country.

Why would blacks want to? I am sure the white nationalist would enjoy the division.
 
Are you "anti immigration" or just anti-hispanic immigration? Because there are several Black people from all over the diaspora (latin america included) that seek to immigrate to the U.S. that will be affected by adopting what amounts to a white nationalist agenda.

I live in Texas. A state on the border that's directly affected by illegal immigration. I used to be anti-illegals until I realized, it didn't really affect me or mine in the grand scheme of things. At the end of the day, folks are just seeking better opportunities for their families and if you all somehow believe that Black folks' station in this country will be better one way or the other then keep dreaming.Im indifferent to the whole debate now and that doesn't mean that I'm about to go march for immigrants rights. They'll have to fight their own battles. But If something pisses white folk off so deeply, then its ok with me.

Blacks have no problem with Hispanics, because many Hispanics are of African decedent. Why have animosity toward someone who may look black?

HOLD YO OWN NUTS!!!!!! Bighead, I have been preaching this idea to my black co-workers for years. And when I say that we have to do it ourselves, they look at me as if I have two horns and a tail. "We have no friends at the end of the day." There again, I totally agree with you. We should not have permanent friends, just permanent interest. Now, don't get me wrong, I am not saying we should withdraw into a world of our own. The modern world does not work that way (unless you live in North Korea. LOL!!!) But be that as it may, we have to hold our own nuts. Ok. Just my opinion folks. I will get off the soap box now.

If we did not have allies you would not have seen the societal changes for people of color in america

What societal changes for us? Being able to sit next to white folk in restaurants...movie theaters...being able to go to school with them...what? Any assumed societal changes have been to the advantage of others and to our detriment.

It has been over 50 years since the voting rights act....they have rolled that back.

2kool you ever think that the current administration is using dog whistle tactics about immigration when, in reality you know that most of the jobs that Hispanics do are jobs that Americans (black or white) won't do

This is not totally accurate. Most of the urban jobs Hispanics have now are because they accept far less pay than U.S. born Blacks and whites. It is not that we (or some whites) will not do the jobs...it is that most illegal border crossers accept far far less than what we would command as pay. All the jobs we held in the hotel industry and construction industry are now being filled by illegals. The maintenance guy in the building I lease space in has been in his position for at least three years (and was groomed by another Hispanic) and he still speaks very little English. That job would have gone to a Black person for sure and to a white person if he had someone working under him.

The jobs most U.S. born people (Black or white) steer clear of are the agricultural jobs. Don't let these people bastardize the narrative. How many Black folk put their children through college as domestics back in the day? Those jobs are still there and still paying what they paid our people back in the 50's and 60' and 70's. That is why we cannot get those jobs anymore.

We have Black folk who can operate fork lifts and back-hos and bulldozers and lay cement and do carpentry and brick work and roofing but they do not hire us because they can pay illegals less.

If I have to explain who your allies are and some of the other questions you asked, then there is nothing I can say to educate you beyond your beliefs about immigration.

I don't think most blacks are anit-immigration, it's just that we aren't pro-immigration either. We're not going to put our necks out there for anyone, especially a group that seems to easily integrate into being white as as soon as they get the chance.

Are you assuming those folks (janitors, etc) are here illegally and the managers of the building you lease are hiring them? Most maintenance folks at my job are Hispanic also but I am pretty certain none of them are illegal immigrants. I also work with a lot of Asians (Far East and Indian), Russians, Middle-Easterners, etc. I have no problem with them and they do great work.
