One game and that's what should be used to determine if he is MVP worthy? Like it or not, Kobe Bryant has played MVP ball and also has MVP numbers. He has "Jordan-esque MVP numbers" and that includes years in which the Bulls had championship and non-championship teams. On top of those outstanding offensive numbers he plays oustanding defense as well. Only a handful of marquee players are in the same company, defensively, as the Kobe Bryant's and Dwayne Wade's of the NBA.xombi_ii said:As the Sports Reporters pointed out Sunday...
Friday vs. Portland Kobe - 50pts, 1 Assist. Kobe is not a MVP candidate.

I guess you'd rather 22 pts/ 10 assists than 50.
Oh yeah... Kwame Brown had 20 and 9 and Lamar had a triple double.

xombi_ii said:That would be great if we were talking about Kwame and Lamar...
LeBron is the MVP.
ummm,jag4life said:See...people always saying Kobe doesn't make his teammates better... .
Man go to hell!mighty hornet said:ummm,
he doesn't

no need to get mad with me for pointing out the truth. kobe is a selfish ball hog, who does nothing to make his teammates better.

yeah, i guess that 1 assist really did matter.jag4life said:Hell he made Kwame Brown, Luke Walton, and Smush Parker better.
no, what I said was he didn't lead a team to the playoffs (and last year, he didn't)Ice Man said:First you said Kobe wouldn't lead a team to the playoffs

:smh:

and it's such a small time "accomplishment" to just make the playoffs. 16 teams make it every year.
so please don't try to pass this off as some mark of greatness. It's not.
when kobe lead that team to a championship, holla!
mighty hornet said:jag,
kobe averaged 4 assists a game. (mind you, he took an average of 34 shots a game)
I guess thats how you make your teammates better. You allow them to spend the season resting up their shooting arms.
:lol::lol::lol:
ummm icey,
again, it aint my fault. I just call it like I see it.
