Pat Hill at Fresno or Tommy Bowden at Clemson, and yes it can be done if they present the right package.

pat hill is not leaving fresno state, where he can recruit w/ the best schools on the west coast and beat good pac 10 teams on his home field to go to mississippi state. that just sounds crazy. and there is no way that tommy bowden is leaving clemson where he's in the mix for an acc title and gets an annual tilt against his dad for them either. face it. no coach w/ other descent opportunities would go there. the only guy I know could win there is L. C. Cole. he can recruit w/ almost anyone in the country. that's the list. cole could sell ice cream to eskimos. of course the ice cream might be held by naked dancing girls (just joking, jokes are courtesy of the bama state bot and joe reed).

point is, for a DI school, mississippi state lags behind and until they make the financial commitment necessary to establish themselves as one of the best schools in the sec, they're an unquestioned continder for the C-usa title. lol.
