Who Remembers SU vs. ALCORN 2004?





S.U. vs Alcorn in 93 & 94 were real big. As a matter of fact that 94 game was on ESPN2 and wasn't decided until that last play of the game. The Stadium and hill was packed in Lorman and one of the most exciting games I've ever seen.........

I meant in terms of year 2000 on up to 2014 :lol:.
 
2004 was fun.

After Ricks scored to take the lead, I think Charlie Spiller came back with a 60-80 yard TD catch. Donald Carrie always had it out for us.

Charlie Spiller is the one who had it out of you. He wanted to go to Southern but yall didn't want him, he took it personal and always had good games against yall.

Charlie Spiller, the Jaguar killer. I don't recall a WR tandem as good as Spiller and Nate Hughes since they left Alcorn. I mean, there were individual talents, but not a 1-2 WR punch like those guys.

Me to. That 93 game was the best game I ever saw at Mumford. The atmosphere was on another level. The 94 game I remember leaving the club, going to Walmart or whatever grocery store that stayed open 24 hours buying meat and a grill, and driving to Alcorn buzzed :lol: . Went to sleep in the car and after I woke up, started back drinking until the game started :lol: . that game had so many up and downs lol. Great memories. Can't wait to tailgate on the reservation. It's my favorite tailgate trip :tup:

Didn't the Chad Newman dude return the Punt Return or it may have been a sack on Air McNair, one them plays...I couldn't hear myself the stadium was so dayum loud

LOL at the refs tellin the Jukes to stop playing so McNair can get his signals called LMAO...

The stadium got so dayum loud smh..man that was a classic game, it was hard getting across the tracks after 3 o'clock that day...I remember smh...

Shawn Wallace may have been the hardest hitting Jag to put on the jersey, that dude lit McNair up and I think bruised his ribs...

I remember black QBs (McNair) was the 1st I seen where those shoes/cleats with the black tips (may have been tape) LMAO...as a kid I was like all QBs that wore that was fast as hell, and that dude could fly...

But I heard he played with 2 broken Ribs that game or something, do to Shawn Wallace

Must have been Kenyatta Sparks that ran a punt back. Chaz Newman was slow as a turtle :lol: . But I remember him making the prediction of going undefeated at the prep rally before the season and everyone laughing :lol: . Then at homecoming prep rally he gets up there and rubs it folks face about his prediction and everyone booed :lol: .Them they lost to a lowly Nicholls state team . Classic memories .

Didn't SU have a chance to win the game in 94 on a return or some shat...LMAO...

Bruh McNair threw that TD to his brother at the end..their sideline when crazy..I think somebody came from the hill onto the field and gave that nga some dap LMAO....bruh us black folks aint shat...man SU sideline was in shock...I know I was, our DE and DT missed 5 tackles on that dude in the backfield LMAO...it was 3 SU linemen hanging off that dude and he stiff-arm the piss outta all 3 LMAO...and launch that bih..str8 to his brother..I wanted to cry
 
We ran the kick back to the 20 twice but didn't score lol. Alcorn was offsides the first time. One of my classmates, Lance from New Orleans was forced into action because of injuries at DB. Bra dude was getting beat :lol: . We drove the piss out of him in class Monday :lol: . Then to top it off, one of our classmates recorded the game and the teacher let us watch it in class. I just remember the announcer saying he's getting beat like a drum :lmao: .

If Sparks had only cut back towards the middle of the field........

With about 10 minutes left in the game, Alcorn scored to go up 28-14.......and from that point on Pete never went away from the spread offense.

Yep. The 2nd kickoff Alcorn left a player on the 20 yard line and he made the tackle. My distant cuz Geno McNeily( current BR Police spokesperson) had a career game.
