The Cream of the Crop
I have been throughly blessed by various preachers that I watch on television throughout the week. The Word network has some dynamic preachers on that I think are awesome. Outside of the normal people that you hear often (T.D. Jakes, Eddie Long) I would like to know what other preachers do you watch. These are some of the ones that I watch every week and they all come on the Word network (373 on DIRECTV)
1. Frank Ray
2. E. Dewey Smith
3. Ralph West
4. Rudolph McKissick Jr.
5. Victor T. Curry
6. Marcus Cosby
These are few that I catch each week and I am just curious to know the opinion of others!!
 



I forgot about Bishop Patterson! I've been watching him since I was in the 8th grade

When I first got Direct, I used be open to watch a lot of Ministers of the Word. Now I dunno, now my spirit can't take listening to everyone. I love to watch Claude Alexander out of Charlotte and Brandon Porter right here from Memphis. I guess their teaching is similar to what I'm being fed at the Church I worship at. Everynow and then I check at Bishop Patterson where my wife used to attend before we got married.

There is something on the TCT Channel (377 I think) called "Ask The Pastor" that is very good. Folks call in and ask different questions and a panel of Pastors will answer them. Dr. H, where ever you are at, I think that would be your kind of show too.

Oh, They dont make them like that no more....
 
I just wanna ask, what do you get out of watching Olsteen? Personally, I get absolutely nothing from watching him. The first couple of times I seen him I thought he was a motivational speaker.

 I had this conversation with someone the other day. Joel is a pastor/motivational speaker/encourager/teacher/etc. He motivates you to live a victorious Christian life through 'simple' messages; same as Jesus throughout the Gospels. If you are somehow able to do at half of what he teaches, you'll be the happiest super-christian in the world. :nod: But that can be said of a lot of good pastors' teachings I guess.

If you get nothing from his messages than maybe his style isn't right for you.

They really don?t
You got a lot of people steeped in Biblical History,
But no real application To today?s life. And I don?t mean how to get rich.
Tell us how our jobs, education, 401k plans, good deeds,
Self restraint, etc. equal ever lasting life.

How can we gain everlasting life when everyday our bodies and this world
Cry out to do the things Scripture says is wrong.

Helps us with that !!!! Help me go to heaven where I?ll be for eternity
Instead these few 70, 80+ years.

Damn Prosperity in this world, if I lose my Soul for all eternity.

First things first. Save My Soul then, tell me how to get a few
Miserable pennies to afford the trappings of this temporary world.

 I feel ya. A lot of us are already saved & know we're going to heaven. That's why we enjoy the teachings on how to live prosperous while we're still on earth.

check out these equations:
1) not prosperous on earth + not going to heaven = :(
2) not prosperous on earth + going to heaven = :whatever::whatever: .... :)
3) prosperous on earth + going to heaven = :nod: :winkgrin: :nod: :winkgrin: :lmao: :nod: :winkgrin: :nod:

#3 is ideal, of course. That's why 'prosperity teaching' is popular these days. Prosperous health, marriage, parenting, career, ministry, etc. All prosperous through Jesus.

So, you don't know if you are saved or not?

That scripture didn't say a rich man couldn't enter though.
 
Gospel = Jesus, & everything that comes along with Him;

birth, life, death, ressurection, justification, sanctification, glorification, etc.
 
Being a old fashion "Fire and Brimstone" Preacher, there are some I cannot listen to, such as (below). Most of them "talk" not preach and there is a difference. I love P R E A C H I N G (period)

Whenever possible I listen to:

Price, Ray and Myles Mouroe and other Ministers from Bahamas Faith Ministries, they are good.
