Which Kind Of Friend Are You?

Have you ever had a friend that when you ask them for a favor they always are willing to do it and are cheerful and happy while they are helping you?

Or do you have a friend that will help you depending on what favor you want them to do?

Or maybe one of those friends that always has an excuse for not helping you when you ask.

When I read John 15. 13-15: "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you."

It touches my heart that Jesus calls me friend.

Out of the three types of friends described, which one are you to Jesus?

Most of my friends fall into Category 1. Something 'bout me, I don't deal w/Categories 3 and am probably not enough close to Category 2 to ask them to do ANYthing for me. Not to mention, I'm pretty independent.

I strive daily to fall into category #1 w/Jesus. :) I'm sure I fail sometimes. :goodbad:

As far as my relationship with Jesus.......
I know that I fail at being #1, though I try. So, I would have to say that I am more of a #2.

With my friends I believe that I'm more of a #1, and that's because I have a group of real good friends who I know wouldn't have a problem doing the same for me.

Because I usually don't ask much of my friends, whenever I do ask they usually fall into the first category.

Truth is I can never be as good of a friend to JESUS as He is to me!
Even on my best days, what he does for me and his faithfulness just does not compare!
What I can do is strive towards that; He knows my heart.

What are you talking about?

My bad...he didn't number his questions, but I am saying that I am the type of friend he spoke about in the first question and everyone knows it and asks of me accordingly.
