Could be a good hire. Hasn't had much success as a HC since Valdosta, but could bring some high powered offense to JSU. I suspect that he and Hughes will clash on the direction of the offense.They trying to follow in Alcorn's footsteps...

LMAO!!!!!!!!! Hughes has NOTHING to do with the offense, so how will he clash on the direction? He have no clue, so any positive direction is good.

Hughes chose mumme because he can just let hal do his thing and not micro manage....we have already had the air raid at JSU and it helped us win 8 games. Let's roll the dice and see who he can bring in to execute this scheme.

I wanted TC for OC when mack left...but he isn't coming here for anything less than the HC job. If Hughes doesn't do well ,TC should be the guy.

Anyway.... we finished the season last in offense in all of fcs with 12.3 ppg. We were in most of our games this year with no qb and even managed to score 20 points in a couple of games. Hal literally can't do worse if he tried and we have nothing to lose.
We have people at our school still making dumb decisions. This guy has never been really successful at implementing and winning with this offense. Give me a break the father of the best high powered passing offense belongs to JSU Graduate Archie Cooley. Why are we still hiring these re-threads instead of trying to hire some of the young and upcoming coaches.
