What's with all the campus shootings lately?

SCSU had someone get killed on their campus last week. Someone got killed at Alcorn yesterday and a child was shot at a tailgate at JSU yesterday. On top of that, TWENTY people were shot at a high school game, six of them died... also in Mississippi. That same night, there was another shooting at a high school game. People gonna think twice about attending games at all before long.

At AAMU tailgate yesterday they had metal detectors for folks walking up. I am glad to see they did that. I mean at some point we gotta all go to this. It's sad but when the element wants to show up we must attacks those elements. I love my black people but I give two cents about the thug trash in our community who seeks to destroy folks just trying to survive and enjoy life.

It's getting to the point to where you're just gonna have to block the whole damn campus off and make everyone walk through detectors and get searched to get in. This is what they're doing at the high school games in Lagrange now. Before you even cross the curb, there's cops with hand held detectors and then you have to walk through one. Never thought I'd see that there, but here we are.

Well until you address the elephants in the room and not let enablers and excuse makers continue to stand in the way-nothing changes.

Things have to be done because those detectors are not the solution. It's time to address any and all the sources of this.

We can yell racism all we want but when it's US-we can't complain when we give them ammo.
Excuses of being poor and all that get old. No amount of jobs, training and schooling is going to counter ignorance.

Sooner than later you going to see those schools get REAL selective in who they accept. And don't be shocked when they start looking at who you hang with.

With over 5 shootings occuring during HBCU homecomings and Candace Owens visiting HBCU homecomings, I am begining to think that supporters of Turning Point USA could be involved.

Nah. What's involved is that when there are events like this, the hood/street folk come out because it's a big event just to be in the mix. Then they bring that street shit right along with them. Accountability has to come into play at some point. These kids listen to murder music all day long..and I'm not talking about just hard rap music.

I'm talkin about drill music where the songs are directly about killing someone or making a mockery of someone that they already killed. A bunch of parents that don't know where they are or what they're doing... like the 16 year old girl here that got shot by an uber driver after she attacked him last week. 3AM and a pack of 15-16 year olds out in the streets.

Easy to get guns... there's no need for turning point to do anything with the way the murder rate is in many of our neighborhoods. A dude I grew up with, his kids are the prime example of it. He did nothing but run the streets when they were growing up, they basically raised themselves and came and went whenever they wanted to.

Now, they're 22 and 20...and I don't even go to their house because they're always involved in some street beef type shit. The one time I went, they had a BBQ and those dudes were so paranoid that every car that rode by they were paying attention to it because they knew they'd done some shit that people would eventually retaliate for.

He didn't teach them kids a damn thing and just left them to figure life out on their own. And considering they lived in the hood, all their influencers were dope boys, robbers and shooters. That's exactly what they turned into. So much so that the folks in their family that aren't on that type of nonsense, including their own grandparents, won't even let them come to their home.

A bunch of fine women in one place for a big event is going to draw them out every single time. They carry everywhere they go and don't care anything about it being a college campus.

Also, this happened last season too at Tuskegee, long before anyone even knew anything about Turning Point. Then there was the student at Spelman that was shot and killed on campus years ago. The dude lived right down the street and really had no business there.
