I think the hardest thing to learn is:
1. Highstep
2. Arm Swing
3. Halt (Grambling)
4. Dancing and playing
But its only hard if you haven't marched before or if you came from Corps style schools. Whats your opinion?

Coming from a Corps style, the hardest for me was marching less rigid and stiff and more loose and rock with the beat.

I thought the hardest thing for all of us was learning the art of taking neck... WHAP... "Thank you, Sir" :ebrow: But on a brighter note... at least we took it during the '99 Can You Feel It World Tour...ahh the memories

Actually, now that I think about it, I think the hardest thing for me was keeping my mouth shut and not saying dumb isht!

"Uhhh does that include my cross?"

I remember shaking my head and thinking, "Poor Fugk, they are going to kill 'em!!! :dead: LOL

I remember when they made you dance in the cafeteria... like you said...Nigg just tried to stay alive!!! :licky:

In today's band it would be hard to teach a crab to stay in his place, especially with the hazing limitations in today's bands!!! :argue:

That's good to a certain degree, in my opinion.
'Cause some folks are stupid (especially sophomores who don't know how to act) and take things way too far these days.
But I digress....

Yep, them damn uppercrabs are just as bad or worse than crabs. They be so happy to be free, they can't sit still.

Not necessarily Bach, like the saying goes you a lead a horse to water, but you can't (especially these days) make him drink.

Yo

When crabs come in, they look at the Neo's because all of the old heads tell the Neo's to teach the crabs. The Crabs see the Neo's coming to practice late(or not at all), or undisciplined so that's how they will act the following year.

Get with anybody from the Human Jukebox. Trust me, they can teach the ART of keeping a crab in HIS or her place.

It seems to me that it greatly hinders the organization when you have too many crabs with a "Devin Miles" mentality. It seems as though they want to join the organization, but change the way things are done in order to accomodate themselves. If the crabbing structure is set up properly, either to extremes happen: they will either quit or eventually be zipped. To add to this problem, it makes it even worse when you have upperclassmen who can't handle the situation properly because of a lack of understanding. Every problem doesn't have to be solved physically, but on the other hand, sometimes they do.

That's why you have to get on the sophomores even more than the crabs. They behind should know better...

Well in the jukebox no one is allowed to come to rehearsal late without some type of punishment. (push-ups to the fight song @ my tempo, till I say stop)
And don't even mention the Devin Miles complex cause if the directors don't weed them out in crab week they will quit the next week I assure you. Cause when them horses come all them crabs start scattering.

That's exactly what I'm saying, Dog. If the system is solid... "It's gone be right." Everytime I see Drumline I feel like :slap:

DISCIPLINE....would be the hardest thing to teach a crab now-a-dayz. :mrt:
Also, how to be an adult and take things like a man or woman. :whine:
You know... the calling home and telling the parents. You know crabs in these times dont know what BLOOD, SWEAT, and TEARS mean

And maby to PUMP-N-DRIVE!!!!!!!!

The hardest thing in my opinion is being a good example to a crab. Crabs are like babies they watch every thing you do. Some even pick out an upper classman who they want to mimmic. For example they might want to march like, play like, dance like, be a leader like, be a clown like... and you will never know that they want to be just like you. I've done it before when I first got to College and Im sure most of you picked out some one who you wanted to immulate as well. Just be sure that you are setting a positive example of what the crabs are seeing and hearing. The way you act now is the way they will act later!

i have been known to treat neos worst than i do crabs because neos are wild and they need to be brought down a notch or two, because when they get back they have this elevated self esteem problem that is quickly corrected... :smash: :upset:

*lmao*

I can think of plenty of them with the self esteem issues both on and off the marching field
