What was your minimum wage?

When you first started working, what was the minimum wage?

For me, it was $3.15/hour.

The federal minimum wage increases to 5.85/hour tomorrow.

Several states have minimum wages that are higher than the federal minimum.

I started working in 1995 and the minimum wage was $4.25. My 1st job paid $4.50/hr.

Maybe you got more than the minimum wage. I do recall that increased to $3.55 at one point.

When I was 15 I worked one of those summer programs where the school found you jobs and it was 3.35. I worked at the YWCA and was the assistant counselor for girls between 14-16. Man that was a good summer. :emlaugh:
