What was your fav Different World episode?

Why don't we have shows like this anymore?

People prefer simpleness and bufoonery. I thought you knew.

First season. A bet was made that Dwayne would chicken out of going on a date with one of Julissa's friends.

The MLK episode when Dwayne and Ron went to jail because they got in a fight during a football game.

Shows of substance is not what tv is about right now.

I will give you The Game. A very slept on show. I could not hang with Girlfriends. That was some over the top drama. I'm a guy so I guess I would say that. My main show is "The Office". Ildris Elba(sp) was on there for about five episodes this season.

Man yall don't know different world, all yall are talking about is the wedding episode...

The best episodes are:
Dwayne and Ron getting put in jail for fighting at the football game.
Denise and Grandpa trying to steal the mascot head
Whitley being a maid and fighting Keanu
The time capsle episode when Ron put the condom in it, Freddie pput in corn
Tisha Campbell playing Josie and having AIDS
Damon Wayans as a teacher mocking Whitley clinging to the Podium
Kim thinking she was pregnant, and the Walter Oaks Date pack
Walter and Jalesa NOT getting married
D'Wayne and Ron pledging Kappa Lambda Nu and Wayne dropping
The dorm step show when Freddy couldn't step
When Freddie's Mom came and Freddie had to pick between Ron and Shaza
When Freddie and Ron forst kissed
Tupac as piccalo, fighting dorian
Charmaine getting caught cheating on the french exam
Gina geting beat down by her man

I have more, but I figure this is enough. I love Different World. After Martin, it is my favorite show ever. I have almost all the seasons on DVD, and I have every episode on VCR tapes. Some I have twice.

OOOOOOH!!! I FORGOT MY FAVORITE!!!

The "DIGI-HOE" episode when they had to do the Court trial

You can't forget Whitley's birthday episodes .....

*She didn't tell Julian it was her 21st birthday so he went out and Dewayne and Ron decide to tried and kidnap her. And she was in the room drinking and singing to Denzel's pictures Denzel! Denzel!

* When she and Dwayne were married and he wanted to throw her a surprise party but she kept changing the guest list. Dwayne takes her to a soul food restaurant where the lady sings "Happy Easter, Happy 4th of July, I hope you are happy with your birthday bean pie

Yes Toi, and they went to eat at Yvetta's Sould Food Kitchen.

That reminds me of the episode where Ron took kim there on their first date!

That was funny all his "ex" kept popping up.

Remember when they tried to save Ray Nay's

How could I forget the episode when they went on vacation and found the bag of drugs and money and they Dwayne and Rod dressed up as women to get off the island

I also love the one where whitley wasn't getting enough in the bedroom because Dewayne was working three jobs and she called into Montel Williams Show... "big daddy don't do me no more"

Dwayne bet Whitley that she couldn't be quiet. She won and when she could finally talk was like, " Hello Couch... Do Re Mi...".

Anybody notice that the woman who played the island woman (Ron was chasing her) was also the executive producer (Susan Fales) of the show?

I'm big on reading credits at the end of movies and TV shows.

I like ready credits too. Like on the Cosby show, Gordon Gartrelle was one of the producers.

You know To, that episode with the drugs and the beach house is one that I hate. I just never got into that episode.

Thinking of credits, and guest stars. What about when Tariq aka Bruce Leroy, played the baseball players that tried to rape Freddie. This show really did cover some serious topics...

i remember that. I like to read the credits too. I also pay attention to actors being re casted as a new character. Like Martin(Denise's husband), played in an earlier episode a guy Sondra went out with when she an Elvin was fighting, again.

Kadeem Hardison has been on the Cosby Show, too.

Yep, he was on the infamous "Gordon Gartrelle" episode.

A Different World is one of my all-time favorite shows. I think everyone has named most of my favorite episodes, so I am not going to list them all again. However, I am not sure if anyone listed the episode where Whitley and Jaleesa were entering a contest to sing with Gladys Knight and the stuffy, operatic girl flipped the script on them when it was time to perform.

I will probably end up posting more once they come to me, but I also recall the "Dapper D" episode (Dwayne Wayne playing the raunchy song on the campus radio station), the sit-in at the administration building, Dwayne and Whitley getting stuck in the snowstorm, Eriq LaSalle playing the teacher the dudes were hating on, and so on.

The episode where Dewayne and Ron got to fighting with those white boys for Homecoming.

You ain't lying. Somehow I never saw the homecoming episode when it first aired. I caught it in syndication, and was like WTF! The two versions of the altercation (especially the white boys' version) were priceless. They depicted Dewayne and Ron as hard brothas wearing hoodies with shades. :lmao:
