Why don't we have shows like this anymore?

*The one where Blair Underwood played Dwayne's friend going off to war. I think it was the Persian Gulf War.

* Shazza Zulu and his book.

*The one with the "mammy" dolls.

My all time favorite is the wedding episode...Thanks to youtube I can still watch it.
 
That's funny, but as much as I loved this show, I can't really remember a particular scene or episode. I like them all...I was a HUGE Cosby Show & A Different World fan.

The Wedding

The episode where Dewayne and Ron got to fighting with those white boys for Homecoming.

I love all the episodes when Dewayne was with Kenu and Whitley was sliding in. :lol:

:lol: You know they say we all look alike! When I was Grambling the guy that played Ron Johnson came to speak. He's a cool guy!
 
Different World still shows in sidication. I know BET still shows it. When Dewayne was with the foreign chick and Whitley wanted him, All the ones with Sinbad. I like it without Denise H.
 
I like the one where Kim was pledging and Whitley was her "pledge master" (whatever you call it). When Whitely came to Kim's room to fight her...priceless! I miss shows like that.

Same here. :nod: I loved all the episodes, especially those post Lisa Bonet. :lol:

Looking back, I can actually relate to some of thoes episodes- especially the one when Freddi got drunk because she had "Writers Block." :lol:
 
I don't have a particular favorite episode. I just like that it stayed pretty consistant behind the Cosby show.

My favorite season(s) were the ones when Sinbad was on there.

My fav episode was when Tupac played the character of Piccolo. Coming in 2nd place was when Ron and Dwayne went to that ball game and someone spray painted NIGG on their car. Then they got in that big brawl. I was crunk after that episode.

WHitley used to call that girl every other name in the book, Kino-no...lol.

I used to love seeing Whitley and DeWayne (washed up arse) together as a couple. Dating and married.
 



I agree, we had real good black shows to look at in the early 90's. I mean the WB and UPN came up because of us.

I have several:

Season 2 finale.

The season 3 episode where Patti Labelle debutes as Mrs. Wayne.

And of course the Wedding episode.
 
I think I died when I walked in here...I LOVE DIFFERENT WORLD.

Okay, FAVS are like this:

1.) When Whitley was pledging Kim. LOL (Pink and Green frogs, REALLY? LOL)
2.) ANy episode with Dwaynes mom (Patti Labelle) was on.
 
The one where the girls bet that Dwayne couldn't handle what we now call a "cougar". He couldn't handle her, but found out about the bet. That last scene with him and her all coupled up was priceless! :tup:
 
The two part Wedding episode "Baby.....PLEASE" :bawling: :clap:

The episode when Whitley found out her family owned slaves. :lol::lol::lol: She kept going up to all of them say she was so sorry. Lawd!
 
Now you know if that happened in real life, the groom's groomsmen would be waxing the floor with his ass..LOL That's real talk!!!

Co-sign... That's my all time fav... I also loved the episodes when Ron was after Kim and when Whitley's mom (Diahnn Carroll) and DeWayne's mom (Ms. Patti) would get into those arguments. That was funny:lol:
