For you people who have the "wisdom", I'm not age..;) But "Wisdom",
What was the best era/decade in your opinion? Just involving everything: Life, technology, economical, cultural, living, social, etc.?
70s, 80s, 90s, 00s(2000-2007)? Because when 08 Came....

I would like to see some opinions? Of course "I'm" going to Love the 90's...

I say the late 80's to 90's time frame. Black people became brand new in the 2000's. The closeness of the black community and black family has been lost tremendously. It's sad that even first cousins don't know the offsprings of each other.

The baby boomers did the damn thing. All the generations afterward did was capitalize off of it.
Come on nah... :p:D Don't do us like that? Hell, I thank yall got us in the pickle were in now... Hence 2008 (Overspending, putting everything on credit, and getting these houses and bank loans they couldn't afford) Now we can throw some shots at the Boomers now... Don't do this Founder:cool:

You ever heard of a "courtesy card" that was the old name for a credit card. What credit companies started to do was merge...Comentiy (sp) Bank is an awesome example. Companies likes Zales, Express, etc....has them as their credit card company.

Like I said the baby boomers came with the ideas and initiated them...all my generation did after the baby boomers was capitalize on what was created.

Yall tore up some things boy.... whooooooo.... smh... Best way I can explain it from my point of view what the Boomers did... was (Boomers-largest Wolf of the pack, going after the prey(the world, the market, credit, etc) and capturing it, eating it just about all the way up, walks away with a full belly, with all confidence and assurance in the world, and leaves barely meat on the bones for everyone else afterwards, with no cares. (Your belly is full- retirement is there, 401k, stocks, house paid off, grown children, cars paid off, trips, vacations, money in the bank, overall mindset up I did it all, ive been everywhere, seen it all).... all these other youngsters after us are complainers and whiners, they didn't go through what we went through with the single parent homes, welfare, Vietnam era, poor families, etc. There all entitled, they don't know "real struggle". (I got mine though)..... they need to get theres.... :D that's how most of those boomers think and act..

I'm not a baby boomer I just had common sense not to squander what my parents (baby boomers) created. See it's simple....how many wealthy families do you see today with more than 3 kids? It's not many. A number of families who developed wealth as baby boomers did was is called planned parenting. Even right now my wife ad I have two children from previous relationships. I have adopted her son since he was under 18 when we married. We want children together but we first examine the financial abilities. Some folks are out here just having kids to be cute. Kids are expensive. Another issue....baby boomers paid off their homes and in order to pursue wealth assist their kids with creating businesses like my sister who owns her company and like myself who has a 501c3 and building my dream home. It's called being smart. My parents also purchased each of us 5 acres of land a long time ago. My gift to my youngest son on his 18th birthday will be 2 acres of land. By owning the land out right you already the down payment for a home because the land is collateral.

Millienails (sp) and other generations are just out here kicking it trying to impress people...while balling on a budget.

Hey Founder, lol... You started it. I was trying to be polite. But you kicked that dog... :D

Millennials Who Say Baby Boomers Are To Blame For Economic Despair Are Right, Author Argues

Horseshit....LOL....Baby Boomers got a job and held it down until retirement. Hell Millennials will get a job and on the first day they already putting in time to take off for homecoming. If the boss says no they leave for a new gig....no retirement no nothing....

That is so true. LOL!!!

I know a chick who had best friend that in charge of hiring for state agency. He offered her a job 3 times and she never took it but would wait on tables at 3 different jobs. She finally took the job and on the first day was like "I planned to go to Bayou Classic and need those days off." SMH!!!!!

Dude was like well you have a choice to make...job or Bayou Classic.....she chose the job and he then went on to tell her that he started working there as a sophomore in college and has been there for 25 years and he is 46. He can retire at 51 and knowing him he is going to do it...then do his side hustle full time by appointment only. LOL

I would say that depending on what area you're looking at, you'll probably find a different answer. Technology wise, it has never been more advanced than now (folks have smart homes these days). The 70's may have been the best time for acquiring an education without debt (BEOG grants). Culturally, one cannot have a monolithic answer because different experiences mean different things to people. Late 60's into the 70's Afros and Soul Train, Late 70's into early 80's Disco craze, 90's New Soul and rap matriculation. Living economically probably early 2000 before the real estate bubble burst because banks were loose with their purse strings and people were working. Good question but the answer will probably always be subjective if one is determined to give an answer and in all honesty will never be monolithic.
