And Monday Morning It Is!!!!!JBizzl said:DUDE, save all that other shat. The chord WAS resolved. If you couldn't hear it, WHO GIVES A FUCC??? Just trying to give you a lil knowledge so people won't think you're a complete idiot.
Good Night
You know those people down there get real touchy when you talk about their band. Plus, they are the only ones in the world who know anything about music!!!!! You should have known better!!!!!!Legend35 said:And Monday Morning It Is!!!!!

Good Morning!!!!
This weekend ,....Prof.K brought it to my attention that the chord did resolve at the fermata. :smh:
No one is debating that fact. My complaint is that it did not resolve to a good chord. I interrupted my jazz session and put on Dream Girls. You do know who they are don't you?
Once again, I will hold firm to my position that I do not like that chord. Since you refused or couldn't help me spell out the chord construction,...let me help you out.
:lecture: "And I'm Tellin' You" is in the key of Bb major written in 4/4 meter. At the fermata, you got a Bb-Db-F chord. :slap: You just went from major to minor. When I hear that chord in that particular piece,....the first thought that comes to my mind is,...."What the h3ll were you thinking"?:slap: You just moved from major to minor. I understand. You kept it simple but, that is not what the artist is doing!!!!! Once again,...the tubas should have resolved from a Bb to an Eb,...hints to structure Eb(root)-G or Gb (major or minor 3rd) - Bb (5th)- Db (7th).
Now, in the original piece ,....the arranger omitted the third to keep you guessing whether the chord is major or minor. It's over all a better chord. It's an attention getter!!! So, let's not get too caught up in ourselves because we all have plenty of room for improvement.
But, here's the thing and you really can't get around this. Neither Prof. K nor Legend35 had anything to do with the theoretical construction, intepretation nor delivery of that arrangement. It served it's purpose and got house!!!! No one is playa hatin' on that arrangement. I just don't like that chord.
Why are you gettin' all bent out of shape about what someone from the outside thinks? It is what it is.
Well,...there it is.........
Checking my appointment book,....
O.Kaaaay,.....what's next?

:slap: Not you again!!!!JBizzl said:And you think I'm in impressed????
You did all that talking and STILL AIN"T shat. If you knew half as much as you CLAIM you would be at Grumbling arranging for them.
Wait, then again you MAY be arranging for them. If thats the case you REALLY don't have shat to say.
LOL @ someone from GSU talking about arrangements. Shat, TxSou got better arrangements than yall.

Is this your arrangement? I'm having doubts that you wrote it.
You know when I went to college and joined the band.
That's lunch.
:slap: :retard: Nice deflection but, no cookie!!!JBizzl said:Is it yours??? You are the "know it all" who is critiquing it.
Is that a complete sentence??? Seems like you went to college and became a man who can't construct a complete sentence. I understand.
Since you seem to know soooo much about arranging, why dont you post a clip of a song that you have arranged so I can chop that shat up right quick.
You can know all the music theory that you want BUT if you don't APPLY the shat your knowledge goes to waist.
Nope thats not it. Just swing by the house for a few seconds, if you arent too busy. :wavey:Legend35 said::slap: While you were yet born,...I was there when she was crowned the Queen of Disco. Jazz feel????? I know I know it but, I'm not sure. Could you be talking about "Dim All The Lights"?
Legend35 said::slap: :retard: Nice deflection but, no cookie!!!
I thought I told you to go lay down!!!! :slap:
:lecture: Sorry,..I'm human and make grammatical mistakes sometimes but, this is beside the point. The reality is,.....you are out of your league. A man of my stature can not and will not lower his standards to engage someone such as yourself. Out of respect for SLT, s phi s ,Crit, Skip, lilC,dacontinent,Prof. K and others who know far more than I,....this is finished!!!
Get On My Level Son!!!!
Here is the end of speaking.
Legend35 said:You just don't know. Immo keep it that way.
Anyway,......I thought I was engaging an arranger. I see that I'm not. I apologize to you because it was not fair to you.
That is all!!!
Back to business:
PV: "Why Does It Hurt So Bad"
Actually,...anything your former Miss PV sung. That girl was blowing and the band was on it in terms of backing her up.

Dude!!!Prof K said:Hey 35!!! How much Donna Summer do you listen to? Shes got a song that is dying to be written!!! It kinda has that "southern swagger" so you know it could be a drill. It has a retro feel to it with jazz runs that I think you would appreciate. It WILL have a big band sound so it would fit a Prairie View and FAMU's wood wind section would be perfect. You may or may not like it but you REALLY wont like it when it's in your face on the green:slap:!!!!! :nod2: :nod2: :nod2: :nod2:
Yeah!!!! I have that one here on my jukebox!!!! It's JAMMING!!! :nod2: The beginning is pretty!! I can hear an open minded arranger teaching that to a band... Booo bop a deeee bop bam boooo bap bap bap deeeee bop bap bap bop a deeee bop bam booo!!!!!!! :lmao:Legend35 said:Dude!!!![]()

Speaking of Donna Summer,....I was checking her out today and she did a VH1 Special, live on cd. She's doing one of Barbara Streisand songs. This song, in the hands of an open minded arranger,....can do some serious damage. It's called,..."No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)".
