What songs from other bands besides your own left an impression?

I just want to send a special shout out to JSU.
When you guys played Frankie Beverly's "Golden Time Of Day",....I was fighting back the tears because that song took me back home to a more beautiful time!!!! I like how you guys arranged it in a question and answer form between the upper and lower brass!!!!
I have pretty much worn out the tape rewinding it to the same song over and over again!!!! To the young DM that wrote it,.....please keep up the good work!!!!!

Also,...another one of my favorite bands,....PV  As always,....I love that Miles Davis!!!!! Real good music with outstanding chord progressions. Even in some of your Rap Tunes, I heard some interesting chord structures. Who ever is doing those arrangements over there has got to be sitting at the piano playing with a cluster chord until they find the right construction after omission. I just got to give credit to where credit is do because that's the kind of stuff I look for and love.
Then you got some kind of fanfare with the woodwinds trilling  about what that is but I found it absolutely Outstanding!!!!

PV's "Here We go" brought me back to my high school days....

That was one of my favorite tunes to play back in high school....

UAPB's Zoom
TxSU's Torture and Caravan
Grambling's Running Away
Bama State' Lately
JSU's Brazilian Rhyme
SU's Before I Let Go (something about 20,000 pom-poms moving to every beat of this tune is almost scary)

jsu "Barnum and Bailey's Favorite March" and "Golden Time of Day"

su "Who Can I Run To" 95 vs FAMU in ATL (I heard it at other times but didn't have the same effect on me)

Hampton U. "Let Us Break Bread Together" New Jersey 1997 (That took me home)

FAMU "Total Praise" Indinapolis 2000

No particular order but if I were to have to give a #1 it would be to Hampton's "Let Us Break Bread Together" It really got to me!!! :bawling:

SU - Burn

AAMU - Dairy & Never Too Much

UAPB - Love Train

JSU - Golden Time of Day

A&T - Children of the Sanchez Theme

As for Juke. Let It Burn, and I Want You were two top song choices and arrangements for 2004.

AAMU's-Diary

JSU's-Golden Time of Day

Those two songs were very creatively arranged.

^^I thought about that until it dawned on me I was in the Band Forum.

Maintaining protocol is impossible in here.

FAMU "I wish I wasn't"

GSU "Love is the Greatest Story" and "Stomp"

Southern U's "Twisted" and "You are not alone"

Jackson State's "Mr Magic"

TxSU's "June 27th"

PVU's No limit medly `98

Alcorn (1995) "Before I let go"

BCC "My Diary"

Sorry, but the thread doesn't say this season...

Or does it?

Correct me if I am wrong, acknowledge me if I am right...

Well,...he's got a point. The original post did not make mention of it. I was refering to this season though. At this point it really don't matter,.... I guess.
