What Is Your Fond Memory Of The MCC?

When I was a Freshmen, I talked Coach into allowing me to drive my Sisters home on Friday Night to Bessemer. Since I knew I was not going to play I stayed out all night and showed up late for the team meal. Coach appeared to be angry with me, but I was a freshmen and my chances of playing was slim and none. I was sitting on the bench very tired. Coach put me in the second half and going into the fourth quarter I was about to pass out. By the middle of the 4th quarter, I thought I was going to die. Never stayed up again before the game.

When we were down 28-0 at the half and the did that spectacular half time show. and came back and won the game 32-28  ...No smack that's just my fond memory, that was 1998. And at the end of the game the coach came over and gave us(The Band) the game ball, cause we played and keep the crowd so alive all of the 3rd and 4th quarter, thus driving the team on that improbable come back!

At the beginning of the fourth I had to make my way down to the endzone to conduct the Alumni drawing for the 1998 Ford Mustang. The fans were more excited about what was going on than winning the Mustang. I had no idea what was going on in the game. All I knew at the time nobody was interested in the car. I ran to the fence to see what was going on and low and behold Bama South had taken the lead. To this day I believe I could have called my own name for the car and nobody would have disputed the drawing. LOL

My other fond memory of the MCC was when I recorded over my copy of the 1999 MCC. I hope there are no other copies of it left in the United Sta...world. That is a GREAT memory.

"I endorse this game".

Yep in 1998, Sedrick Easterling scored the winning TD in OT. I remember this game like it was yesterday. We scored the first TD with about 20 secs left in the 3rd and from there we just started to beat the dog isht out of A&M! Good Times!

so many people left that game early thinking A&M had won it in a blowout. LOL!

when it went to overtime, it was clear that A&M's players and coaches were completely shell shocked, caused the plays they "ran" in OT were :retard:

CHI96,
I remember the band during that comeback too.

There are some great articles in the Huntsville Times today. Some folks used to read the Huntsville Times everyday, but since they are now bottom feeders and have other issues I strongly recommend they read the Times today. They have been denied media coverage for 70th years and the Huntsville Times articles should bring them up to date on the MCC.

I remember it like it was yesterday
the radio station had a contest, where the next caller would win a date with me
well the next caller was a chick named Shanaynay
she took me to something called MagicCity Classic
bad things, bad things, bad things
the horrors I witnessed,
let's just say, there was nothing classic or magic about that day.
But joy came when she passed out from the 40 ounce beers she was drinking, and I quietly tipped away.

A&M had the QB Rollin who ran the option. ASU wouldn't touch him when he pitched the ball in the first half. That was my first MCC when I moved to AL and I kept saying why won't they knock that boy head off. In the second half they drilled every time he pitched it and as a result he start pitching it sooner.

My fond memory was stopping at the McDonald on Finl
ey to grab a burger and there were a lot of A&M fans eating and having a good time celebrating the win. When asked us how bad did we beat them? I responded, you lost the game. Appetites got up and ran out the door. Of course some had to verify it first... Which I laughed at them at that point.

The fake mink coats and shinny maroon suits in 65 degree weather.

Don't overstate how State beat us..State did nothing special to come back on us. Qb Roland Hayes, who had hurt his ankle earlier in the season at Southern, and had to come out of the Tuskegee game, was playing well during the first three quarters, and we were beating the crap out of State. Hayes reinjured the ankle and came out of the game inte late 3rd quarter or early 4th quarter. Our back-up was not good enough to keep the success going..our inability to move the ball gave State all the opportunities to make the come back..

It was that injury rather than State play that turned the game around...I will give State credit for increasing the intensity and taking advantage of our weakness.
