I was watching Madd sports on BET saturday and saw Joe Clair ask
Chris Rock what his favorite sports moment was. Chris' favorite
moment was Doug Williams winning the superbowl for the
Redskins. That inspired me to ask....

What is your favorite sports moment EVER!
Where were you? What did you do? ETC.

Wow! now this is hard because there are so many, but this has to be it. I was at the old Independence hall downtown Baton Rouge watching closed circuit.

1) Hank Aaron's 715 home run
2) Braves win World Series
3) O.J. Simpson gets 2000
4) Doug Williams decides to let it fly in SB XXII
5) Arthur Ashe wins Wimbelton
6) Falcons make it to Super Bowl
7) ASU's "Crush, Kill and Destroy Tour" of 1991
8) Braves make it to World Series
9) Pittsburgh Steelers winning Super Bowl XIII over cowboys
10) Americus High School 1975 State Championship football team: 14-0-0. The only points allowed were on a phanthom touchdown after 5 plays from inside the 1 yard line.
 
Seeing Vaughn Johnson, and Sam Mills stop the Steelers running back (I think it was Tim Worley) on 4th, and goal from the 1 yard line to give the Saints the victory allowing them to go to the playoffs for the 1st time in team history. Phugg U Mighty Hornet. ha h ha

This is my honorable mention, Magic Johnson hitting the final shot of the All Star Game, after his AIDS announcement.

Bears winning the Super Bowl.

Bulls Championships. ALL SIX!!!!!!!

Whenever the Cubs make it to the post season. MAN THEY WAS CHEATED IN '84. Just because they didn't play night games at the time, they took one of their home games away for tv and San Diego played Detroit in the world series. I DON'T CARE WHAT NOBODY SAY, THE CUBS WOULD HAVE BEAT DETROIT.

truth be told, I still can't believe the FALCONS made it to the Super Bowl. The win over the Vikings in the NFC championship game was one for the ages.

Mike Singletary going one on one with Eric Dickerson in the 85' NFC Championship game. Singletary stuck that mark dead in the chest and held him until the rest of his team came through and banged em. He did not gain one yard on that play.

And when Dent sacked the Rams quarterback and caused a fumble, Wilbur Mrashall picked it up and ran it back for a touch down. Then it started it snowing. They were like George Hallas wa watching from above, kicked a cloud, and thats why it snowed. Sniff Sniff. fightin' the tears. It was beautiful. MAN, THATS BEAR FOOTBALL.
 
Game 6 between the Rockets & Knicks

With the Rockets up by 2 in the waning moments of Game 6 of the NBA Championship, John Starks who was totally unconscious in the second half put up a 3 pointer to win the game and the championship. Hakeem Olajuwon made an all out attempt to get to him and block the shot and managed to get at most a fingertip on the ball and it fell short. The way Starks had been shooting that second half it's no doubt that shot was going to fall in if Olajuwon don't deflect it. This allowed the Rockets to go back to Game 7 in Houston to win it all for their First ever title and I was right there in the Summit to see it all. That was the loudest crowd I had ever heard in my life.
 
I'll answer my own question now....

I thought about this for an entire day.....and it pains me to
admit this (because I'm a DIE HARD Laker fan) but almost
all of my favorite sports moments involved the Chicago Bulls.

My Absolute Favorite was the 1991 NBA Championship When
the Bulls finally won. It was so long overdue and Jordan
crying with that trophy will forever be etched in my mind.
That was a great sports moment. I was watching the
game with my family at my grandmother's house (like we
used to do for all games). I think my uncle cried...

My Second was Jordan's 1st comeback. If anyone remembers
the atmosphere at that time....any true sports fan will have
to admit that was one of the most anticipated moments
in sports.....ever!

Yeah that was smoove. I remember watching that in Dixon Hall. I could not stand that A's team either. Orel Hershiser was holding it down.

I believe we won that game in '95 in Jackson. If I am wrong, my fault. Greg Spann broke like a 85 yard pass play on you all. And our smoove linebacker broke up a pass play on the last play of the game.

It 99 is the year; It was FAMU double pasting in 95.
