What is it with the Heat's inability to win close games against teams above. 500?


Bench and roll players......the Big 3 can't do it all, that's gonna be their problem when they have to play teams that know how to play a total team concept.
 



Lebron is a loser. Pure and simple.

It takes more than physical ability to be a winner. There's a mental aspect also that he does not have. A mental toughness and determination to win. It's not there and the team can sense that. Unfortunately, they feed off of him and in games that it takes more than physical ability to win ... well ... you see the results.

Well, if that is case, how can anyone say he should be the league MVP over Rose and consider him the best player in the game?

That's an individual award. Basketball is a team sport. Teams require leaders. Winning teams require leaders who are winners.

Which do you think he would rather have: League MVP or NBA Championship MVP? Guess which one he'll never have. Now ask yourself why.

He shoulda signed with the Bulls, they have a better bench and coach. Miamis problem start with coaching plain annd simple.

yep bench is terrible. this is like the 4th or 5th game where they have blown a lead. they come out beasting and seems like they gas out at the end. thats something thats gonna catch up to them in the playoffs.
 
The Knicks played a little defense last night. I am not just taking about the final seconds of the game.

Man, Lebron just ain't doing it for me. The whole LeBron/Kobe thing needs to seise, until LeBron starts looking like he can be consistant. I won't go as far as to call him a loser...but, dude's got a ways to go when it comes to playing championship ball, while helping the rest of his squad play championship ball.

Make DWade the focal point of the squad again...:tup:

Another thing....I thought the Heat's coach was going to be the main problem this year...but, Bosh is SO overrated, I have to get off of Spag-what's his face to get on this mofo...:smh:
 



I don't think Chris Bosh is overrated at all. He has played great for the Heat (except the Chicago game) for the bulk of the Heat's games.

The guy is averaging 18 and 8 and shooting 48 percent from the field.

Here are some of his stats against some of the better teams in the NBA this season.

- vs. New York, 20 and 12 (last night)
- vs. Boston, 24 and 10
- vs OKC, 20 and 7
- vs LAL, 24 and 13
- vs Dallas, 19 and 8
- vs Atlanta, 27 and 10
- vs Chicago (Jan. 15) 17 and 5

I think Miami's depth hurts them more than the performances of Chris Bosh.

I never knew why so many people hype Chris Bosh as if he is the top PF in the league.

Interestingly, Dwyane Wade has had as many duds against top teams as Bosh, perhaps even more. Like I said in the other thread, because they don't have depth or a bench, if any one of their big 3 has an off night, they won't beat quality teams. While Bosh is soft, you can do worse than having him as your third best player. On top of that, it would help if they had an actual offense. That freelance offense they run is great until the closing moments and they can't get off decent shots.
 
Chris Bosh was soft in Toronto and he still soft with Miami. he's just in a bigger market so everyone can see his softness

Well, let's take a look at D-Wade's game log against the better teams:

vs. Knicks (last night) 12, 9 and 7
vs. Chicago 34 and 8
vs. Boston 16 and 4
vs. OKC 32, 9 and 9
vs. Atlanta 27 and 6
vs. LAL 18 and 5
vs Dallas 22 and 9
 
There is a thread here on this board somewhere.
I said MIAMI would not come out the EAST when everybody was just giving them the 2011 NBA Title after Bosh and LeBron signed. I said they were not ready. Until they called Dampier out of "retirement" this year to come off the bench, they didn't even have a center worth mentioning.

They have no grunts--blue collar scrappers on that team. You get past the #6 guy in a playoff setting, Miamis bench is going to implode worse than Orlandos bench did last years in the playoffs.

I'll say it again like I said it then.
The East is going to come down to Chicago and Boston.
