No smack intended, but UAPB went down that road too with Hardman. From what I can tell, Hardman stayed around UAPB simply because the man that hired him keep his word that he would be around. I can't fault that man for not going back on his word, even though we lost fan support and the program ran into the ground.

I say that to say you just never know why someone like Bell or Hardman sticks around when everone else would have pulled the plug.

It's a suCK's poster. You know, the one's who shat never stank in any situation. What do you expect. :xeye:

If he can't clarify 'all' in this situation, that makes the other instance of 'all' a blanket statement also.

The ALL in his statement is the ALL BARK, NO BITE.

My question arose from the fact that he quoted someone, then said, "I blame this on YOU alumni ..." Howtf does anyone know who puts up, and who should shut up?

Your guess is as good as mine, but he shouldn't use the word 'ALL'.

I guess he is The Amazing Kreskin and he knows which alumni is doing what.

BTW, kkpsi10 edited his post to avoid these type of responses on the Sports Board. Notice TM advised him to move it to the private forum.

Let's face it jsu alums have no clout. All they do is "smack" their lips and can't even control what goes on in their "once proud" athletic program. Those are the facts and no smack is intended. This is just a constructive observation. Now I am not saying that it cannot change. With all of the empty seats at Memorial something is going to give sooner or later.

Like I said .................what did you expect from suCKS.

Let them tell the story, their alumni have more clout than Notre Dame and Wallstreet put together. You gotta learn to ignore them. :xeye:

Oh, I do put it on ignore.....but there are those that are cool.

:wavey: chick-a-dees from Sistah Talk!

Why it gotta be all this? The bruh just made a blanket statement.

I'm down with jSU...except on this Sat.

We've been there! Athletics, administration, faculty, ...you name it! I really feel for ya'll.

No smack...the honest truth!!

However, if this gets moved to the Smack Board...LAWD help ya!

...gate...open

I really think this is gonna be Bell's last year...especially if he goes winless the rest of the way. Regardless of how ineffective Hughes recruited (cuz Hughes won), there is enuff talent at JSU to expect them to win some games. I don't know if a lot of players (from the Hughes era) left the program or were sent packing. But it's obvious that they are sorely missed. Maybe if Bell wouldn't have been such a "My Way or Highway" guy, he could have won some of those players over to his way of thinking.

We all smack and talk smack, but the conference and BCF needs a successful program at Jackson State. The Blue Bengals were a game circled on everyone's schedule as a "Can't Miss" game. Too bad that proud program has been victimized by the thought process of two stubborn men: Culberson and Bell.

90% of the players on the field are Hughes recruits. The ONLY Bell recruits who see time are the RB's (becasue Hughes left us with none), WR Johnson, MLB Scott, DL James, QB Haren, and now some true freshmen O-linemen have been forced into action. There may be one or two more but remember Bell only had 8 scholarships to offer his first year... so aside from Kennebrew and Scott, those guys are just RS-freshmen. Of his 2004 class, only the o-linemen are seeing action (limited) and RB Rogers.

I'm down with that assessment 100%!!!

TP,

Since 90% of the guys are Hughes' recruits, that means that they are in their 3rd year on the squad. So that means that youth is not the problem...maybe inexperience but not youth. I said that to say this...Most of the other teams in the conference have youth and new players. They are winning!

Look around at Bama State and UAPB...both of those programs brought in new coaches after having losing seasons and they are now winning. JSU brought in a new coach after having winning seasons and you guys are losing. Doesn't that seem to indicate a problem with your new coach?

I understand being loyal to your school and program! But being blindly loyal to Bell and how he is ruining your program contradicts having love for your program. There's nothing wrong with your talent...the problem is the man coaching that talent.

I TOTALLY disagree.

The SWAC and bcf will go on, even if JSU doesnt have a single winning season in the next 20 years.

This conference and bcf is way bigger than one team.
Take off the blinders!

mh,

I agree the conf is bigger then one team however when people think about the swac they think su, gram, jsu, famu, howard and for other reasons pv.

A lossing jsu is bad for the swac which is bad for bcf... and no matter who trys and takes jsu place in the "circle of the big 3" they will still be 2nd teir.

Mike, it's people like you that is JSU's problem. What was one of the major reasons for our firing Hughes (aside from not knowing how to gameplan, not knowing anything about football, destroying our program, not teaching fundamentals...and I can go on and on)? The major problem was that he was not recruiting talent. All we had talentwise were some WR's and a QB and they were even recruited by Big Daddy. One string of them at that. By Hughes last year, he had totally decimated a team that he inherited at 2-3 deep to one with only a "decent" first string. I ain't blinded by Bell but I know what we have and don't have. We used to be the most talented team in 1-AA ....then Hughes took over and fed off of Big Daddy's and Shannon's recruits. We did not fire the man for nothing. Just think for a second. You seem to forget that Hughes last year he started out 3-4 before beating some sorry teams...PV, UAPB, AAMU (by 2) and Alcorn (1-5 losing skid). With leftover Big Daddy talent and a system already in place, that was not a great feat.

...and MH, everyone but you has the same opinion. BCF is set. Some teams will never reach the elite level no matter how hard you try. You are a one classic team. JSU is among the elite and will rise from this just like Grambling and TNState did. You can't keep us down. And when all of this is over, people will forget that you ever beat JSU. I had to be reminded the other week that TxSo beat Grambling 4 years in a row in the 90's.....who cares about that now?? Smalltime programs are smalltime programs.

Toi,
Again, I disagree.

The SWAC and bcf didn't suffer any last year, when JSU had a disaster of a season. (running clock, no home wins, 8 losses in a row). It's not suffering any now either, with the season JSU is having.
Just because JSU is losing and suffering, dont think that other schools aint enjoying football.

I can only wonder if yall think the SWAC and bcf suffered in the 90s when Gram was losing.
