IT IS PUBLIC NEWS REPORTED ON THE ATLANTA JOURNAL CONSTITUTION.

UNLESS KENN TOOK IT DOWN, I believe it is newsworty and worthy OF PRAYER!

Father,

Right now I am spiritually pissed-off about this incident. It smears the Church and marrs your image in the eyes of the world. It hurts millions who have been influenced by the ministry of both Bynum and Weeks. My bones ache. It makes me sick. I hate the devil.

At the same time it is also liberating for many people who were caught up in personalities other than Yours. I pray that you will free us up from going hard after anyone but You.

Father, I pray that you will heal the wounds - natural, spiritual, and emotional - of both Weeks and Bynum. Heal them and bring them to brokenness. Let it be a signal for all of us to consider our ways, our marriages, our families, and our loves, to keep them before You.

I ask this of You in the authority of Your only begotten Son.

Amen.

PRAYER WORKS FOR all who PRAY!

I want to say a lot about this situatiin, but sometimes it's better to keep your comments to yourself..... some may not understand my position.

Father,

I am spiritually pissed-off

I often agree, sometimes disagree, but always enjoy reading your comments and I always respect where you are coming from. You are REAL in the word and the comment above is your best yet...and it was a part of a powerful prayer!

 Sometimes we all get spiritually pissed-off. I have a pastor friend who was unfaithful to his wife and I needed a "term" to express how I feel. THANKS!

Ok, I will share one or two. I listen for two or three days about what happened and no one really knows. The entire Nashville Community was against him, because you have a number of Gospel Recording Artist and wanna be preachers living here [Bible Belt] and the surrounding area. People were talking about him going to jail, without knowig all the facts. Now these are suppose to be good "Bible Belt Christians", so they say.

There were prople calling and saying "Oh she is such a fine person, a true representative of God, a good woman, a true Christian" and so on. It's was like he killed her and the people were preaching her into heaven.

First of all, no one heard the conversation that took place earlier or the day before. According to the media at some point during the conversation, he decided to leave and she followed him (mistake number one). No one was privelage to the conversation.

In my opinion ?if he left for whatever reason? she should have remained in the hotel / restaurant, until he drove away.

Now I have always been told, if you go looking for trouble you will find it. In the words of Kenny Rogers (The Gambler) ?You have to know when to hold, you have to know when to fold and you have to know when to walk away?

?If she is truly a minister of God and filled with the Holy Spirit,? her spiritual discernment would have instructed her to stay away from him, especially if he has been showing signs of anger.

Spiritually ?PO?

Why? Some individuals that called in and said the same on the radio.

This does not ?smear? the church. It only cast a dark shadow in the Bynum?s, not the church. I hope this incident bring people back to reality, because some individuals worshipped her.

Her sister was here at a conference and according to a co-worker her comments were.

?There are two sides to every story?.

Now exactly what that means only God knows.

...This does not ?smear? the church. It only cast a dark shadow in the Bynum?s, not the church...

I wish this was the case. Alas, it is not. When we name the name of Christ and blow it like this publicly, it does smear the church. Thankfully, the blood of Jesus and the water of the Word are there to cleanse us again. The church will recover.

The Church in Christ already has the victory!

Maybe the spirit told her to stay away but she went against the discernment, like WE ALL do from time to time.
Maybe there was no discernment or no signs of anger. Everything is hear say. We'll see if the truth comes out.

Well if he is truly a minister of God, shouldn't his spirit have discerned that he wasn't going to treat this woman with respect? Warning him to stay away from her?

Come on people!

Gul, you know its always the woman's fault! Come on now Blu! :goof:

I'm trying to figure out how it's her fault, he was beating her. It's doesn't matter if she followed him anywhere, he didn't have to raise his hand. Also don't forget someone had to pull him off, something is wrong with him when you can beat someone you love like that.

You're right, the spirit, the bible, our common sense warns us to do the right thing but we all sometimes disobey. That's flesh. Doesn't mean we're not good christians, just means we mess up sometimes.

David murdered a man so that he could have his wife, whom he'd already slept with. He was still a good, spirit filled believer. He just messed up as we do.

Personally I pray that God will allow the Husband and Wife of this situation to work it out. No one has to live with this but the Husband and Wife. What ever decision Husband and Wife comes to will be the final word. No one else has to live this but them.

Well if the Spirit said "let it be" and she decided to follow him, then it's her fault. If not, that's like Spirit saying Dr. H., do not mess with those " hookers" and I do so, who's fault is it mine or the hookers if I catch AIDS?

Then there is the "spirit" if she listen to that one and not the Spirit, it's still her fault.

People have to stop blaming others and look at themselves. Whenever I make a mistake, I blame myself and not others.

Please remember that everyone that stands in the pulpit is not a " Genuine Christian." I think sometimes we are too quick to say a person is a "Genuine Christian" as the scriptures say's "A tree is known by the fruit it bears" Some of the biggest fakes I know stand in the pulpit Sunday after Sunday after Sunday preaching the Gospel of Christ. True Christanity, is reflected by the life we live.
