What Do The Moon and Texas A&M Have in Common?

LSU has a very strong offensive line showcased by sophomores "Thunder & Lightning" and a stable of running backs. If LSU can't do anything, they can run the football down someone's throat and control the clock and line of scrimmage. All of the preseason polls point to Texas A&M being higher rated than LSU. However losing 7 folks on defense is not a recipe for A&M to beat LSU in Tiger Stadium (you "gone" learn  :emlaugh: ) To underestimate LSU offense would be a grave mistake. They also return a senior QB and both of his key targets. If there is any concern with me, it would be LSU defense. I don't think they will be as strong as the last two years on defense. LSU will NOT lose two western division games (apparently you've bumped your head). :emlaugh:

BTW, you people from Texas better be careful with underestimating these SEC teams. You can't be a one hit wonder in the SEC. That is "GROWN MAN" football. You've got to bring it every year.

I would laugh at that first bolded sentence if it were any team other than LSU. Strong OL showcased by sophomores? Sounds like an oxymoron. But, if there is any team known for strength on the OL and DL and for reloading every year, it's LSU. I think it's reasonable to expect very little if any dropoff from the LSU OL.

That last bolded section is very true. Texas A&M caught a lot of people by surprise last year. You can rest assured that they will catch no one by surprise this year. You're going to see how good SEC defenses are at preparing and adapting to new offenses. Give them a whole off-season to study and prepare ... aTm better bring it. Because even the lesser known schools are going to bring something different for them this year.

I don't know where that "you people from Texas" comes from. We are not the bamas or you guys. I don't like A&M nor do I care if they win. I have no allegiance to a team just because they might be from Texas. I'm just calling it like I see it. LSU will lose to bama again and;( in my opinion)Texas A&M appears to have the better team returning this season.

LSU had a whole month to prepare for the Clemson offense and still got worked. I don't think this upcoming LSU defense will be nearly as talented as last year.

If you're from Texas, you fall under the "you people from Texas" category. That phrase has nothing to do with who you're pulling for or have an allegiance with. I will agree to disagree with your opinion about losing to both of those teams. One of those teams will get their ass kicked by LSU. :emlaugh:

If you're basing that meaningless bowl game on how LSU will perform in pursuit of an SEC or Nat'l title IMHO you're wrong....... :emlaugh: But, we shall see......

I was thinking the same thing. LSU will care much more about playing A&M than they did Clemson.

Last year Thunder and Lightning were Freshmen. Everybody in the stadium and the opposing team new LSU was going to run the ball on their side of the line. LSU just ran it there and dared folks to stop them. :emlaugh:

Not to mention that the LB's were young last year too and this may just be the best LB group LSU has seen in quite some time. The DB's are always top notch. I think that the offense will shock some folks.

That's what they were working on this spring. If they refine that passing attack (and I think they will), they will be lethal on offense.

Should be a great game in College Station. Its gonna be a 2:30 pm kickoff - I wish it were in prime time like LSU @ Bama was in 2011.

Anyway . . .

Not taking anything away from Texas A&M, Johnnhy Football or (the state of Alabama's own) Kevin Sumlin, but they really, reallly, really benefitted from catching Bama at the right time last year. If you recall, that game was the week after the emotional, gut-wrenching, dramatic, last-second win by Bama @ LSU. Bama was clearly still on cloud nine, and (the players at least) were still somewhat celebrating the big win on the Bayou. That won't be the case this year. Saban and the Bama will be 100% focused for this one, and I predict the Tide to Roll to victory. It won't be easy. And it won't be a blow-out, but I do believe it will be a victory for the Crimson Tide.

Roll Tide Roll ! ! !

I read about 5 different excuses.

That was just embarrassing. Man the folks at Hooters watching the game. Dejected.

True....The Georgia game is the question mark in my mind. If you don't catch Georgia the first two weeks of the season, they can present problems. I think LSU will put a "bayou beat down" on Florida next year though.

Just remember that Florida for the first time in 3 seasons will have a good and experienced OL. The running game with our stable of RBs and our mobile QB will be hard to stop. The question will be can we finally have a passing attack that we haven't seen since the Tebow days(check the stats before trying to bash). The defense will be much stronger up-front. Our secondary is the only cause for concern on defense, but when has Florida ever not had good secondary players? So as long as Driskel doesn't tank it like he did last season, Florida will be hard to beat again, or Muschamp will be in trouble. lol

lol..........I was waiting to hear from you (I knew you would give me your perspective). It's going to be a good one. LSU doesn't lose too often at Tiger Stadium (particularly at night). I don't think the game time has been set for this one. Obviously television implications...

Heck,Florida doesn't lose too often in Tiger Stadium either. lol

I'll agree with you on those two, it's no telling who will win. Since 2000, the series is 7-6 Florida. I don't suppose it get too much closer than that....In comparison LSU leads Alabama since 2000 9-5 (9-4 regular season) Odd enough Florida is 2-4 against Alabama since 2000.

Yeah all about timing. Lost 1 to Alabama when Shula had that stacked team 2005 while we were just in our first year with Urban Meyer. Then lost in that 2009 Championship game when Alabama had another stacked team. After that Saban had Bama rolling while Florida dropped off big time the next 2 seasons.
