Well Dam How Bout That B......

I wonder if these so called Celtic fans (that havnt claimed rye team til AFTER they beat the cavs) saw this ass whooping coming?

Hey cl

Can you analysize the last Celtic ass whipping? Do you think the series is over for the celtics? Wow they looked old and woozy....ain't that right big baby?

Nah,

I think the C's will be fine going back to beantown...They lost sight of the balla little bit and Orlando's too good of a team to allow the sweep. I wil say that they need to close it out in Beantown. There's no denying that the magic are younger. The longer the series goes, that fact is going to become more appearent.

Phoenix isn't OKC, man... :smh:

Phil needs to do his homework on the zone.

game 6 is gonna be a toss-up...Frye's got his confidence back and he's going to be key for the Suns. If the Suns win, they finishing the series in Phoenix. If the Lake Show wins, it's going to 7.

How did frye do tonight? See you Game 7 hahahaha

Man,

Y'all fanboys still ain't gettin' it; They went to zone specifically to limit touches to the post. More importantly, the zone prevents the triangle from being run through the post.

Pau didn't even get TOUCHES this game. He didn't have the ball in his hands to force the defense to react.

No touches in the post = no open shot opportunities.

No touches in the post = no driving lanes.

No touches in the post = no high percentage shots.

Pau had 9 points tonight, once again your math is off lol

Phoenix's bench has been doing that all year. LA lost the game because they didn't get the touches they normally get in the post to facilitate the triangle offense.

Their FG% has been 40-ish for both games in this series in the latter stages of the game. That's the zone. Pau got 3 TOUCHES on the block the ENTIRE 4th quarter...3.

they essentially forced Odom and Fish to be the go to guys to hit shots.

as far as Frye goes, the guy has been potent frombehind the arc all season, also. He was going to get his stroke going eventually, especially when none of the LA bigs are going to close out on the guy. He gets 'catch & shoot' opportunities, he's going to start hitting them.

I know some of y'all are in a bit of denial, but LA's in trouble if they can't get Pau touches in the post. Defensively, I don't think they're going to have the same success they had in the first two games.

This is what happens when you dont know about basketball, you tend to wait after the game is over with to talk about the game. Hindsight is 20/20 any person couldve said this if they watched the game lol. Pau had NINE touches the whole game so what are you saying?

The Suns bench did it again
But then the Black Mumba said....HEEEELLLL NO

HEY Goodfella:

Did you know that these two guys are the reason the Lakers are so successful?
Pau+Gaso+and+Andrew+Bynum+during+the+National+Athem.jpg

The white guy on the left was a no show in the last 4 games
The black guy on the right played pathetic in the whole series.
But somebody heard somebody white say that these guys were the most
important part of the team and they ran to this board and repeated it.
Eventhough the white guy only had 9 points in game 6 and the black guy
was a no show especially in the 2nd half, for some reason, and GR just cant put his finger on the reason,
the Lakers still managed to win eventhough everybody is not playing well.
GR wonders why?
kobe_bryant-3_article.jpg

GR wants to hear the excuses too Kobe"

GR thinks this guy will learn how to win
and consistently carry a team on his back.
One day he will find out how to take any help
he can get and turn it into a win...but
it wont be any time soon

You aint no Kobe Bryant...you just aint.

GF,

You STILL don't understand how LA's offense works...*lol*

I guess that's all I can expect from fanboys... *smh*

The players in the post (weather it be Gasol, Bynum, or Odom) have to TOUCH the ball to FACILITATE the offense. When the ball gets into the post, it opens up shot opportunities for everybody else. The THREAT of those guys getting deep in the post opens stuff up for the guys on the outside...If the post folks actually score, it makes the offense that much more effective.

Dayumn, how hard is it to grasp that concept??? *lol*

Anywho, Defense (somewhat) won the day for the Lake Show...Congrats.

Kobe has matured into the best overall player in the league... he's transitioned from a guy who felt he has to take over into a guy who takes over down the stretch with the right play - whether it's scoring or setting up a teammate.

As I stated earlier in some posts, the Zone and such defenses would impact his teammates but guys like Kobe can score on any scheme and against any player. It's just a matter of making it more difficult than usual and even then the Kobe's, Lebron's, Melo's, DWade's, etc are gonna get their numbers. The key is to take away the "other" things they do, tangible and/or intangibles.

Kobe has learned how to not let folk take those "other" things from his game...whether it's how he deals with this teammates, how he answers another team's run (himself or as a facilitator). Similar to Jordan...once he learned not to make it Kobe and the fellas while remaining THE guy, he became the best and most complete player in the league. Not sure he's the most physically talented anymore...Lebron is bigger, stronger, younger and can do the same physical things Kobe does (maybe in a more overall dominant fashion), but Kobe is still an exceptional physical talent who has "mastered" what it takes to win and close out series.

The Key in the NBA finals will be to see if Boston can offset/neutralize those "other" things such that he doesn't lead his teammates to playing better basketball while giving them "the guy" they can look too and count on.

Gonna enjoy this Finals... two storied programs (actually the two most storied) battling for another championship. Growing up a New York Knick fan, I see both as a "traditional" rivalry who long ago left the Knicks and all other organizations in their championship tail dust. Strange... despite Boston being a more regular "rival" in terms of number of games versus the Knicks, I have never "hated" them...but instead my "I hope they lose every time" sentiments go to the Lakers. :lecture:

Hey GR did you "C" Ron Artest last night?

I "C" why people that know basketball think Ariz is better.

Ariza is great. Gr does not know how we made it back to the finals without him this year or in 08. Ariza did the same thing for Houston he did for the lakers.

and The Lake Show did win game 5 and it didnt go 7
You wanna know why?
Cause we got a guy on our team that doesnt run from the ball when you need him the most. That Kobe guy doesnt pass the ball to Anderson Verajo with 3 seconds left on the clock and expect him to make the shot.

GR is so glad that Kobe aint LeBron.
