I told yall jsu would be sorry the minute they made the hire lol

I just know TP won't be able to put Jackson's name in asterisk......*********

******** state university tigers would be funny though lol

Dude, you still think your team is good? LOL JSU gonna beat ya'll azz. Watch!

Man the way most JSU fans left the game after the TxSU game, you would have thought we lost big time. Your right JSU is just not a even decent ball club. There use to be the days when I would talk shit wit some of my MSU and usm alum but we so bad now and it's so noticable that Hell I can't even talk shit wit jim hill right now.

That is just our culture... and we exude is so much that others see and do the same to us. That is why we go 9-2, 8-3, 7-5, etc and they call us a failure because WE call that a failure in Jackson. That is why we were disappointed in the win. You beat TxSo by 4-5 TDs... no exception. That's just the rule.

I agree, normally J State will bounce back after the SHC.

The season is still early, they will come back with a winning season "maybe"

The ONLY hope JSU has at salvaging this season is our lines coming together. We have talent on the d-line and the o-line but they are not used to working together. Grambling is going to be a tough one but once those lines get to mid-season, we should see if this season is a bust or not.

TRU,

NO need to put Jackson's name in astericks. Jackson and his assistants are putting their best foot forward. There was a lot going on with the program that they are having to recover from and it was not their fault or Comegy's fault. When you look at a JSU team with only one linemen who really played last year, you know we have some foundation issues BUT we have the best coaches in the SWAC and this will ALL come together.

Yeah like winning and going to back 2 back SCG's

I want to say Alabama State. I do realize that Jenkins doesn't have the same talent at ASU that he had at BCU, but I expected a lot more from the Hornets. i expected the games against Alcorn State and Grambling to be much closer than they actually were.

I see a lot of people mentioning Jackson State, but this is about where I expected JSU to be at this point. MTSU, TSU, and SU weren't surprises and I expected JSU to beat Texas Southern(by a wider margin) but a win is a win. I do think they will go 3-1 in October, however. They'll go 2-2 at worst.

Exactly. Grambling could pose a challenge but AAMU and Valley and UAPB in October is cake. LOL

I expected us to beat TNState but was not sure about SU. I knew it would depend on our defense. When/if we see SU in December, the defense should be better. Right now, we have to focus on beating GSU. We have no room for error at this point.

We call it loss-tober because it's the month that normally separate the men from the boys and you have a pretty clear picture how things are going to end up in November.

I'm really interested in seeing what Southern does this month with PVA&M and Alcorn State both having to travel to ya'll. Huge advantage for the Jags.

A lot more to it than that. I was happy to see Comegy go. I was surprised by the move but I didn't complain. In THEE end, we will be better for it.

Jackson, a Mississippi native, said he would concentrate on recruiting local athletes before venturing out of the state. The school said one reason Comegy was fired -- despite a 55-35 record -- was because of his reluctance to recruit players from central Mississippi.

I think we've inherited a great football team," Jackson said. "I just want to go and finish what they've started."

How old is HJ, 70

We got something waiting for both of them. PV has the misfortune of visiting us on homecoming but first we have to take care of Bama in their house

I'd have to say UAPB. We have no offense! I'm not a coach but we don't move the ball, play calling is predictable, can't hit open receivers and when we do they drop the ball! We have a decent running back but by the time a run is called it's stopped quickly. Defense works hard but is left on the field too long due to the poor productivity of the offense. We got talent but I don't think they are being used to their potential. :(

JSU was not expected to do great things this year by me, so there is no disappointment there. Now Alabama State is a disappointment and Alabama A&M are schools I expected to contend with Alcorn and that race is over.

I voted for ASU. I didn't think they would win the East but I expected them to not have to beat us for their first win.

Every one else is right about where folks expected them to be.
