Now you'd think someone would complain about fat men flipping burgers on a grill when baby tigers bounce off of poles with fireworks shootin off in the air over fat girls doing splits in front of gay male twirlers twirkin about the field while the whole band dances so hard they can't play during halftime rather than a percussion section playing rudiments and throwing in a flip or two for flair.

But thats the SWAC for ya...do something that actually pertains to music and its called a circus.....but literally bring Barnum and Bailey on the field and you're the shat. :spin:

Just like I said. I think that JSU's cadences are boring. Just like I think SU's are boring, TxSU's are boring, Grambling's are boring. It's my opinion. It's not a reflection on the perceived good-ness or great-ness of a section.

That's why I said I was gonna let this slide. Now I have a hole in my soul because I don't think JSU's cadences are not boring.
 
Yup....The same way the Boom's book in the 5th changes from year to year.

p.s. we can fax PVU a copy of our 5th quarter list a month prior to game day and still SMASH them. lol. ... but what are we talkin about here? we all know pvu only travels to Honda and the Dickenson, Texas Christmas Parade. blah

This coming from a band that has ducked and dodged an arse whippin worse than Bernard Hopkins for the last 20+ years.

We never "ducked and dodged" ya'll. During my years, we would've welcomed a chance to go against ya'll. Take that with up with Liddell, who apparently didn't have the funds to go to Texas for a PV game or didn't see it as a major game when it came down to game attendance numbers.... or both.

And I don't recall ya'll making your way to Memorial Stadium either, but you can cross over the Mississippi and jump to Georgia though.

HA!!! Last I checked, the last meeting of these two bands was IN Mississippi in 1986. Now whatever reason/excuse you can come up with for not coming in over 20 years, go right on ahead. And there are 2 reasons why PV hasn't been back to Jackson SINCE '86.

I figured you would use the "you owe us a trip" excuse. :lol: I hope that's not one of the 2 reasons for PV not coming back to Jackson, because if it is--- that's weak in my opinion.

I don't have any excuses or reasons as to why we never made it to a PV game. But I can you this much: It wasn't because OUR BAND didn't want to make the trip and it DEFINITELY wasn't because we saw ya'll as a threat. It was out of the students' hands, of course. Apparently JSU directors didn't put in enough effort to make it happen. Shrugs shoulders.

I do know how JSU can operate, and if the band is/was operating on a limited travel budget, then you can best believe they are ONLY going to travel to those games, where they feel they are most needed (to help win a game/cheer on football team/keep the crowd into the game) and where game attendance is going to be stronger.
 



We all know y PV didn't make that trip this past year too......

Personally, i like that video....it shows the change from old school 2 new.....the solo cadences are 1st followed by Series then a cadence that was made up this past year and nothing beats coming up that ramp :)



And LMAO @ Crit callin PV a non-threat

And the fact is, that, yes, Jackson not coming here since '86 factors into the decision of PV not coming, but not NEARLY to the extent that some of y'all think. Actually, that is the PIGGYBACK reason. It wouldn't be an issue if not for the other issue.

Man its really a pointless argument. SWAC schools seem to use their own homegrown geography. Its very understandable that the schools besides SU and GSU may not be able to afford the long haul to Texas...and most of them don't come....for PV or TxSU. But somehow they believe when its PV's turn that the distance is somehow shorter. And nevermind how it is only 1 trip for them to come to Texas but its multiple trips a year to Bama or Mississippi for PV depending on the schedule. They all travel in that little pocket of schools and call that traveling.

The only school I give merit to when it comes to talking about travel is SU since they always come and its not that far of a trip for PV to go. But they are normally the last ones to start that travel talk. Everybody else is talking about trips that their bands can barely accomplish themselves.
