Wanted to Share this With the Family

I often talk a lot of HITS. Yet, today I had the chance to catch up with a former coworker and we got on the subject of one coworker who was so engrossed with work that she had no life.

This young lady worked hard everyday putting in so much over time that the company had to give her time off; just because they felt bad.

Well, one day in the quiet part of her life, she committed suicide. This was a sad time because she took off work for a week to relax. After her parents had not heard from her they went to her home and found her. Well, the police found confidential information which was labeled and contacted us to come pick it up. Upon entering her home we saw how truly lonely she was. She did not have cable TV, she drove some old arse honda civic, she had no family pictures up, her home was just blah for choice of better words. Basically she worked for a living.

Her family had no idea that she lived such a bland life. When they saw her she was all smiles, but deep behind that smile was a piece of sadness that could not be touched. At work she was one of the nicest people I ever met. You asked her for help, she gave it, you asked her advice, she gave it and it worked. Later we found that her parents donated her entire bank account to a non profit that focuses on depression. She basically had enough money to buy a small home in cash.

In short people, take heed. Take a day off from work here and there, go shopping, spend a day with your child during the week, splurge a little here and there, live life. You only get one.

I had to share this because I once suffered from depression and it's not nice. Just live a little; joke, laugh, and most importantly live life to the fulliest.

Happy Friday Fam.

I didn't post it to make you sad, I posted to help folks understand that life is joyful and all this hate and dislike for another person is waste of time.

It was still sad nonetheless, but I caught your point in the midst of it.

Thanks....life is hard enough...but sometimes other people make it harder by creating problems that are not even there.

Hey man, I appreciate you sharing that!

I once left a job because of the following statements.

"Yeah, but he just seems like a 9 to 5'er". "He just comes in...does what he has assigned to him, and goes home". "Maybe I should just be like him; come to work; do what I gotta do; and go home".

These, and some similar comments were made by a variety of former coworkers.
I came to find out that "their" input was factored into "my" raise based on a performance review of "my" supervisor.

That was on a Friday. That weekend, I thought about it more, and on Monday, I resigned.
When they asked why, I told them that I get the feeling that what I have been doing is unappreciated
and I am starting to feel like you want me to spend 15 hours a day in the place.

You see, I don't have a lot, but what I do have, I cherish. I have a wife and three sons whom I love more than anyone but God.
I have friends, family and some enemies that I like to spend time with. I have my SWACPage family and my SU family that I like to spend time with.
Sometimes, I even just like to spend time alone doing absolutely nothing.

I said all of that to say, thanks for the reminder bruh! I choose to live my life.

What's sad is that what said needed to be said as a reminder. That's something that I deem ONE of my MANY unwritten rules.
