With the short time that she has been there, do you think that she really did something to offset the apr problem or was there something else already in play that did it?

I respect JSU for this reason. Last season they knew they were not going to play in SCG but still busted heads. Big props to them. I just hate teams who will not be going in to post season half playing and saying fugg it. If you are saying fugg it on the field then you are saying fugg it in the classroom. Just my opinion.

That's because JSU has pride. Schools like SU and AlaState have no pride.

SU has no pride? Really. So you mean to say SU stopped playing hard last year? You just say isht to say isht. Especially just to include SU in your posts.

Viv, Meyers, Braddy, Comegy, compliance office, students, coaches, jock washers and janitors all get credit.

The difference here is that since JSU is the top academic university in the SWAC, we didn't get in APR trouble for our kids not going to class or passing. But I believe that those from these lesser schools who qualify for waivers every year (like GSU, TxSo, and PV) have a bunch of dummies on their team that don't go to class. We had a compliance/rules issue. Ya'll have a "I can't get nothing but a dummy to come to my school issue".

This is so poetically justified. In the most LOGICAL sense, I see that many of you have work to do. JSU is on cruise control.

JR, you all played hard last year and that is why I like Stump. You see I have never said that ya;ll need to fire Stump. He does need to be fired and replaced by Hughes or somebody but to keep that bunch of scrubs fighting is commendable. But in MOST ways, ya'll have no pride. Your whole school is in shambles and not a Mason can fix it. In Alabama State's case, they have no shame. I don't know which is worser!

Way to give them positive feedback mixed with insults!! :lmao:

LOL @ SU is in shambles. That can't be further from the truth. Obviously you haven't been paying attention. Oh well. We are far from shambles and Mason is doing okay. New regime in place and we are on the move. But continue to believe whatever up in Philly. There is a reason the Advocate has been so quiet lately. LOL.

TP, it is amazing you really think everything is fine in Jackson when you got your own alums on here not thinking so. Oh well. Only Pop33 tells the truth about JSU on here anyway.

WTF are you talking about.......Do you really understand any of this crap you be typing..... If your school didn't get in APR trouble on their own, who did it to them.

Sometimes I wonder.......

Now I see why JSU catches so much hell, they are beyond ignorant. The men should have been, real talk. The only schools that can really boast about APR is Alcorn and A&M.

There is some funny sh-t in this thread. TP .... hell, he believes God woke up at JSU so I don't even listen to that fool anymore.

Cleb, what's your issue? You knew this was coming. Granted, I can't stand a whiny dude, but you KNEW they was coming as soon as this came out so get over it and back away from the site. Let it blow over.

And JSU men .... really? Even if you thought YOU were wronged last year (like no one else was there, right beside you), how does TxSU being out help you? You still can't get past the damn Bees!

C'mon September!

You want kids to go to class and care about an education-you go after the high schools and school districts that produce them.

I've been BEGGING PVAMU to come to my home county and the county I now reside in for a better quality student. But it appears as though PV is scared of white people in the predominantly white and academically superior districts lol and desires to foster a lower-quality of student(-athlete) by recruiting a certain type of kid, like the rest of the SWAC schools. :smh:

These :smh: childlike minds on this board is beyond

The ignorance on here is no worse than the crap shows...Basketball Wives and Love & Hip Hop.....Maybe that's why some of you like shows like that... YOU CAN RELATE!!!!

Show your HBCU education.. or maybe lack thereof... :smh:

We will be OK. This will make us (and UAPB) take the APR more seriously as the other SWAC schools have learned with their previous bans.

It's not surprising that the usual JSU a** clowns take joy in this news when they were crying from the mountain tops about how unfair the APR ban was to them when they were forced to sit at home last year...

I agree....which is why I hope my folks don't appeal (I'll probably get in trouble with the GLF for saying that).

I've never understood why folks don't just accept the penalties/punishment for non-compliance with set rules/regulations. It's a tough lesson, but you won't/can't learn from it unless you fully accept the consequences and take the punishment like a man (no pun intended). We (UAPB) need to continue to emphasize that fact that our athletes are students first and education is their primary focus.......everything else is secondary.

It has happened AGAIN... lol. Y'all kill me... Now we want a kumbaya meeting... "This hurts all of us" etc etc... But it was a joke last year. lolol. Comedy.

All of the "VALID" points being raised today, were raised by JSU last year. The APR issue is/was not a LYNCH STREET problem. It is a HBCU problem. Every HBCU is a target for this APR monster and we all will be touched eventually.... (but we said that last year.... when it was a joke). To that end. You're getting what you deserve. Those "dummies" need to go to class. Isn't it just that simple? lol

:snicker:

Say Cleb, since you all are banned from football and basketball, what are you all going to play for now? I'm loving it!!!!
