What is your Vacation Bible School topic this year? My church chose to discuss "Family Ties". It was interesting reading about "Hannah" and how she prayed to have a child. She was blessed with Samuel.
 
I was just gathering my materials in preparation to teach. Our VBS theme this year is "Power on with Jesus" coming from Acts 1:8.
 



Our VBS starts tonight from 6-8:15 p.m. and will last through Friday. And then on Saturday, we're having a BIG, community-wide BLOCK Party!
Our theme is Jesus' Family Reunion.
We've got classes for the children, teens and adults.
 
:jump: We have two weeks of VBS, one week at each location, from 6-8:30pm nightly.

I've been requested to do my skit character from Black History Month each night. We shall see.
 
Somebody got a late start this year, we are doing the 10 commandments.



Father Abraham had many sons,
Many Sons had Father Abraham,
I am one of them, And so are you.
So let's just praise the Lord. :D
 
^^^^I remember going to VBS as a kid....It was always fun and I really didnt have a choice in whether I was going or not....My parents were VBS and Sunday School Teachers......

Man I remember singing that song........Father Abraham Had Many Sons, Many Sons Had Father Abraham, I am 1 of them, and so are you...So lets just praise the Lord............:D :D :D :D
 
Our VBS was June 3 - 10 "Investing in Eternity"

We started with a cookout / registration on June 3 and finished with a picnic with games and plenty of hot dogs, hamburgers and "yes" ribs. on June 10. We cooked 31 slabs of ribs.

We had about 300 kids to attend.
