Did you all see Head Coaches Geno Auriemma and Muffet McGraw dual interviews on yesterday? That was straight hate, disdain, and disrespect toward each other and I loved every minute of it. Muffet McGraw was pissed that UCONN's Breanna Stewart got National Player of the Year and let that be known. I never seen two coaches not hold back shat in an interview. I can't wait for this game.

No love lost between Connecticut, Notre Dame basketball coaches

NASHVILLE — If there ever were a sports matchup with organic hype, this is it: the first meeting of two undefeated teams in the final of an NCAA women's basketball tournament.

Add to that the sass, snark and sniping the coaches of those teams indulged in Monday, and Tuesday's game between Connecticut and Notre Dame has taken on an atmosphere that is multiplying the hype exponentially.

Notre Dame's Muffet McGraw said "hate" and "lack of civility" would be fair ways to describe her team's rivalry with Connecticut. Its coach, Geno Auriemma, delivered ripostes with a velvet shiv, an out-of-character approach that led him to say, "Who would have ever thought I would take the high road?

"Whenever I see the numbers and the things we've done, I kind of just shake my head," Auriemma said. "I would hate us too."

When the teams left the Big East Conference last year, each for a different conference, McGraw said Auriemma rebuffed Fighting Irish efforts to schedule a meeting this season.

"Let me just say it's not nice to fib during Lent," he replied.

Her reaction?

"I try not to get down to his level," McGraw said.

Her relationship with Auriemma: "We don't have a relationship."

People have got too PC and wanna make stuff a love fest (thanks ESPN).

And you better believe ESPN is going to milk it for all it's worth too. They may get a nice bump in the ratings because of this.

I'm watching. Womens basketball at this level is good....And Stewart is good but they claiming she could be the best of all time...Not!!!!!! She's slow and gangly...Deladon is better.
 
The ACC is probably still pondering what to do about UConn. They have been passed over for many teams but that's mainly becasue the ACC is already strong in bball. They just want to be stronger in football and UConn does not offer them anything in football but the bball program(s) is certainly worth a look.
 
I hate UCONN women's basketball so I'm rolling with ND....They have the guns to go toe to toe this time. sure wish they still had Natalie Ochowa(sp)..... UConn is not deep so you can match player for player with olny the center postion being a strenght for UCONN. McBride can go with #23, The ND Fowrad can gaurd Stewart and match her actually she's better. The ND gaurd is just a fast as UConn. It will be a good one...ND is better this year without Skylar Diggins...

Dude I hate all things Tennennesse except Women's Basketball. That's who I roll with and we need to get back to recruiting top players. Quick..... When we had Holdsclaw and Parker....Even before that UNConn running away from Tennessee.. Been watching for a minute now since my Highschool girls team went to the state Three times while I was in school. And a couple times while I was at JSU...
 



None of the great coaches like Geno.... Geno has to be doing some dirty ish.... Him and Patt Summitt also had it out for each other in public.

BULLSHAT! Skylar was great and could hold her own against any player. When Skylar was there they played UCONN two/three times a year and won most of them. This year UCONN and ND are in different conferences. That's the only reason both are still undefeated.
