I used to go to this hole in the wall spot on U Street. It was kinda run down but the food was good.
 
Can the legion of bitter black females, black feminist, hoodrats and SIMPS take several seats and stop worrying about who is gay or who eats brunch?

We got bigger things to worry about.

Interesting. None of the brunches I've been to in Houston have had a DJ. A few have had live jazz music though.

I love live bands. Its too different crowds man. DC got a thousand day parties disguised as brunches. "Turn Up Brunch", "Henny and Waffles" "Trap brunch" etc...

Man that "Day Party" stuff gets on my nerves....when do these people actually work...it ain't that man off days they have. LOL
 
Day parties are during the weekend. Well most that I really know in DC. Ozios, Rose Bar, etc. Got a couple of phrat that's in the Usual Suspectz and JK Productions crew that promote those parties.

Day parties on weekends mainly. I aint into clubs or parties really at this point. My family and my business really get all my attention these days. I tell my boys if you call me about hanging out, its a 20% chance u might see me. If you call me about teaming up to go after business opps, i will be there right away

My wife told me that she never knew how hard worked with my non-profit until after we were married. I'm 43 and all that going out stuff and kicking it is for the birds. I have a much more fun and cheaper time with my family.

Right. The first time and last time I went, some people invited me out to "brunch". They did mention there'd be a live DJ, but I didn't pay it no mind. As I pulled up to the spot, I hear Luke's "I Wanna Rock" playing, and they wanted a $15 cover charge...this is before I could come in and have to pay for my food, drinks, etc. I got back in the car and went home. I can get a full meal at the Waffle House for half of that price.

I'm not gonna lie, I like a good day party every now and then, but I'm not gonna pay anyone so that I can get access to pay for my breakfast/ lunch.
