Turkey Day Classic ASU ends Tuskegee's 26-game win streak

trust me, it's not me who's confusing fact with smack. You're attempting to smack. (just how many times are you gonna post that we should have lost? )
All I'm doing is stating facts. And your answer to that is weak attempts at smack.

As for North Alabama and Delta taking Skegee seriously, Skegee was the 3rd ranked d2 team in the south.
btw, do you think McNeese and Appalachian State take Jsu seriously?

Also Skegee was ranked in the top 10 in the final Division 2 poll. Where was Jsu ranked in any FCS poll? Matter of fact, Jsu wasnt even ranked in the Sheridan poll.

2) Bringing our playoff record into the picture, you forget that most of the time, the SWAC played the top schools in D-IAA in the first round.
Most of the schools we lost to became champions or went deep into the playoffs. The fact is we had some great teams in the 80's and some really good teams in the 90s. Bama State's team in 91 and SU's 93 and 95 teams were great IMO.
ummm 99,
It's not me who was suggesting there were no great SWAC teams. My measure is not playoff success. That was the measure beans chose to use for Tuskegee. Just wanted to see what he'll arrive at by using that same measure for the swac or jsu

I think you're missing Beans overall point, which if you consider a win against a D-2 school, ANY D-2, as "big" then your program is in extremely bad shape. There's no other way of looking at it.
99,
Here's the thing though, if this win makes it looks like ASU "is in extremely bad shape", just how does it make the SWAC look when NOBODY can think of a bigger ooc win in YEARS. Not a one!!!!!

MH, I didnt mean to get you upset with me by pissin on your parade by telling the truth. But the truth needs to be stated by someone and this is how you can tell who is really your friend. A friend is someone who will let you know the truth and will not pat you on your back for something meaningless as winnng against a D2 team. I mean your record indicates that you all have a ways to go, so to celebrate beating a D2 team who you should have been taking to the woodshed years and years ago isnt something to write home about. But if it makes you feel good and preserve our friendship, then congrats.

Guys, MH is up to his ole tricks again, standing on the gonads of another school instead of his 3-9 Bama State school who was shut out by JSU. The oldest MH DIVERSION trick in the books.

That's just one variable he introduced that you chose to run with. I don't know if Tuskegee is great but I'd imagine they're pretty good. The thing is, even if they are great, a Bama State win over them shouldn't be considered a big win, unless your program is in shambles. I remember a while back I watched JSU struggle to beat a pretty good D-2 New Haven team. I also remember how after the game I felt relief, not joy. I certainly didn't consider it to be a big win, especially now when i look back at it.

Well MH, that just means you guys are one of the sorriest programs in a sorry conference. If that makes you feel better....

Tuskegee hasn't played in-state D-2 schools, Jacksonville State in 24 years and hasn't played North Alabama in 27 years. Surely, those schools are not the ones doing the running, or are they?:noidea:

I see he chose to not speak to ANY of the stuff I posted though.

Apparently you think any FCS team is better than a D2 team. I don't.

btw, I watched North Alabama and Delta State Saturday. I've seen lots of SWAC teams this year, let's just say that North Alabama would....... but I digress on that one.

It should make you feel worse that nobody can offer up ANYTHING to refute my statement. At the end of the day, that is what is sad. And probably that is what gets to yall.
I can make a seemingly outlandish, kneejerk statement about this being the biggest win. And then you think about it............And you realize it is. Then you go into every kind of spin, diversion and knock to attempt to cover up.

But you STILL can't name a bigger recent win.

I think TU beat North Alabama in 03 or 04.

1. I'm not saying every FCS team is better than any D-2 team. What I am saying is that any decent SWAC program should beat a school like Tuskegee on a regular basis. When you do, you shouldn't go around calling it a "big" win.

2. The reason no one responded to your statement is because you never set any criteria as to what's considered a big OOC win. Right now It depends on how far you wanna go back and who's willing to do some research. I can tell you right now I and most of the people on here arent. But if i were willing to go back say 5-7 years, i'm sure i can find some bigger OOC wins by SWAC schools. Off the top of my head I know AAMU beats up on TNst most years. I think you guys beat FAMU recently as well. I'd consider either of those bigger than beating Tuskegee.

3. If you say North Alabama or DSU or any top-tier D-2 school would run thru the SWAC, well I don't doubt it. But if that's the case, does that mean we should beat our chests when we beat one of those schools? What Bama State's win means, if anything, is that low expectations plague this conference. I blame the SCG and the 9 game mandate among other things.

99,
I never was basing the "biggest win" on the fact that it was Tuskegee. I was basing it on the fact that the win came against the #1 ranked team in bcf, undefeated, the defending bcf champion. I don't recall a FAMU or a TnSt being ranked #1 when we (the swac) beat them.

as for going back 5 years, you would be hard pressed to find the ooc wins that you might think you would. :scared:

would you consider Tuskegee a "top-tier D-2 school"?

just asking....

I'd say TU is a top 20 D-2 program. Can't say much beyond that because of their schedule.

I don't put any stock in BCF rankings or national championships. Beating a FAMU or Tnst is better IMO.
