LOL...you made up your own formula to rank TnSU #1. lol

LOL. Actually I didn't make this thinking TSU would finished #1. Also note i said the formula needs to be revised.

Of course, just like the BCS, the tsutiger formula needs to be revised to make it better. Give me some suggestions.
lose that "big 6" mess with a QUICKNESS.

last year for your "big 6", only 2 had a winning record, the others-----
A&T- 3-8
JSU 2-9
TnSt 2-9
SU 4-5
:scared::scared:

if you're objective, then you'll see that doesn't fly.

btw, your formula doesnt consider 1A teams?

EXACTLY... "Big6" should be the 6 best teams from the year, not historically. Plus, TnSU will get more points if you put in extra for playing PWCs because you play in the OVC.

Also looking at your formula, your ranking will never change throughout the season. Howard could go undefeated and still end up ranked where they are. TnSU could lose every game and stay where they are.

Mighty Hornet.

You can't discount the Big 6. These are the programs that bring people to the stadium. If your an AD is trying to sell season ticket packages, a 4-5 SU is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more attractive then defending SWAC champs Pine Bluff.

Also in the non conference section i gave 2 points for playing a 1A school.

A&T 3-8 but 9th in 1AA attendance
JSU 2-9 but 10th in 1AA attendance
TSU 2-9 but 8th in 1AA attendance
SU 4-5 but 4th in 1AA attendance

Alabama A&M SWAC east champ but 61st in 1AA attendance
Alabama State defending SWAC champ and finished 3rd in SWAC 13th in 1AA attendance.
It's not always about wins and losses but who your playing.

Eliminate the "Big 6"

1 point for a preseason I-AA top 25 team at home or neutral site
2 points for a preseason I-AA top 25 team on the road

ummm tiger,

is your ranking suppose to be based on the strength of schedule or how "attractive" an opponent may be?

seems like you're trying to combine the two.......
:scared:

That's garbage!

HAMPTON, DELAWARE ST and SCSU ran your conference last year, yet they get no pub...:retard:

Get rid of the "big 6" crap! That's all in YOUR opinion.
Keep it OBJECTIVE! :smash:

GRAM4LIFE:

Wouldn't it make more sense to get more points for scheduling a preseason I-AA top 25 team at home than at THEIR field???

Not if we are talking about schedule strength... It is harder to win on the road than at home. Therefore, the road game would make your schedule harder increasing it's strength.

Why would you give more points, for playing on the road? Doesn't Pine Bluff schedule look way more attractive playing SU or TSU at home vs. playing at Georgia Southern?

That's just it...
I was keying on the "attractiveness" of the schedule instead. :)

Like MH made reference to, tsutiger didn't exactly specify which he was focusing on.

So this isn't about strength of schedule? Well, let me get out of this conversation...
