TSU move 2 dates

Texas Southern made two changes to its 2013 football schedule. TSU will play Jackson State on the road on Thursday, September 19th at 6:30pm. The game was moved so it can be carried live on ESPNU.

The Tigers also moved the game against Southern University to Friday, November 1st at 8:00pm. There was a possible conflict with Major League Soccer. The Dynamo had that date set as a potential home playoff date.
TSU decided to move the game to Friday to better accommodate the fans.

That just killed their crowd for the Jags coming to Houston. The local Jags will still come out. But that Friday game just messed up a good revenue game for them if it had stayed on that Saturday.

The football team will adjust obviously.

Many of our folks used to make it to town on Friday in time for the pre-game parties... Well at least the game isn't on Thursday.

The wow comment is probably because they threw a monkey wrench into the plans of Jags that like coming to Houston making that game on Friday. Meaning loss dollars for TxSU. A lot of Jags I talked too were very excited about going to Houston to see the BBVA Stadium and watch the Jags. Obviously the local Houston Alumni will be out on that Friday night. Even some of them may have a wrench thrown in the plans. You also hurt your own crowd. The TxSU and SU game in Houston draws pretty well from what I have seen in the past.

Some still will. The old heads will definitely make it. No pre game parties at the host hotel this year. LOL. But I imagine the younger Jags will be affected or folks who had planned to work all day on Friday. Some folks still would roll down I-10 West on early Saturday.

I am about to pull a band fan. LOL. Isn't that time of year getting near HS football playoffs? What about in La?

Well, they just screwed my plans coming from Atlanta. Guess I'll save that dough for a LATER trip to Houston.

I was not going to say a word with all the "Klan Memorial....White Folk run ya'll" talk around here. You told them GR...... :lol:

JSU ain't never had to move the date of a game because of other events. Ole Miss could not even make us move a game way back in the day when they wanted to play in Memorial on a Satrurday before they renovated their stadium and took all their games back to campus. :lol:

Yeah this messes up plans for many Traveling Jags... This now gives us 2 Houston Games on Fridays... Hmmmmmm

That Soccer Team said you gotta move your game because we have a "possible" playoff date.
Find another date. Ain't that some shiiii
