We have out numbered TSU and PV at every game the last 30 plus years I have been going to games except that one game.
We even out drew you in Mumford during the Green regime. Everyone has growing pains.

It would not surprise me in a couple of years if we play some games in Cougar stadium. 2 more years of Tony Evine and they will have no fans anyway. Labor Day classic back in the 3.

You do not have enough time in to be wasting it on the computer at this hour. Might have to exchange your gift card. Does Willie Early have gift cards? I will ask Dollar Bill.

sTu outdrew S.U. in Mumford? I'm sure you didn't believe that while you were typing it. :emlaugh:

The last time y'all showed up in H-town was the last time we played you fellows at UH's stadium and the cougar parking lot attendants jacked y'all for 30 bucks to park.

Stop it man. I was at the game a few years ago and SU fans were at that HS stadium. I saw folks in Houston that I didn't even know who lived in Houston from the SU side. LOL.

That has never happened dude. TxSU has NEVER and I repeat NEVER outdrawn SU in Mumford stadium. Even in the 80s we would come to Houston with a large crowd. You guys are delusional if you think TxSU football fans ever outdrew SU in Mumford. Hell you barely show up for games when anybody comes to Houston. Ask the JSU fans what they saw last year in BBVA Compass stadium.

 I was like WTF. They cant even out draw us in Houston :smh:

Exactly. It was worse in the 80s and 90s when SU came to Houston. Maybe the drop off in these last few times coming to Houston has made them think they actually outdraw SU.

Houston is SU West. Ain't nothing changed. If anything there are probably even more alums in H-town than ever before.

A suggestion for the Texas Southern/Southern game would be to move the game to Baton Rouge on that following Saturday night and treat it as a "home game" for TSU. SU did it for the Jackson State game a few years ago. They would most likely draw a larger crowd at SU and would only have to pay SU for the use of the facility.

If the Dynamo do not make it to the playoffs, the sTu vs su game will be moved back to Saturday.

My man C-Leb making it happen. Now all I need if for you to take care of some of the Dynamo players if you know what I mean.:smash:

When Gerald Green was the coach the only Southern fans in stand where the guys with buckets collecting money to save the program. This was the same time you had about 29 people in the band. Not only was I there, I put 20.00 in the bucket to save a SWAC program. I guess I help save the Southern juggernaut.

You have an advantage. It is a panacea to leave the boot for H town. It is similar to me leaving East Texas. It is hard to even go back and visit.

Gerald Green? We didn't have any coach named that. Must be Gerald Kimble you are talking about. 29 people in the band? What year are you talking about. If you are talking about 1989 and the 48 Posse that blew the Ocean out that one game, then that was done on purpose to get the attention of the new Chancellor and President and it worked. I think that was the first year a girl was pushed on the band by Dr Spikes. You probably got ripped off of your 20 dollars from some fan from Scotlandville getting their hustle on. LOL. SU didn't have any problems then. Hell money was flowing then.

Those stands were packed backed then. No way TxSU came into Mumford with no huge crowd in 89. I never saw it during my 4 years(84-88) at SU while I was in the band. We always took over Houston. And nobody has come into Mumford and took over the stadium. SU old school fans were not fairweather back in them days and would show up just to show up.

the girl came in 1990 along with the caucasian tuba player...it's on tape

for whatever reason, SU drew better when they play TSU in Houston than PV...not sure was it because of the timing or what

It used to be a band thing. Especially when the Ocean was good in the 80s and still decent in the 90s. I do think it was a timing thing too. It used to be early in the season for SU coming to Houston. When we played PV it was not as appealing to the fans. Especially after PV had that bad run of losses and the band battles were never that appealing. The TxSU game just has always been more of SU fan favorite game in Houston. The local alums even like it more than the PV game. Always have.
