According to reliable sources, Grambling State football coach Rod Broadway is the new coach at N.C. A&T. Broadway led the Tigers to a Black college national championship and several SWAC championships.

Interestingly, his name is already off the roster on the Grambling website. Before Grambling, Broadway led N.C. Central to back-to-back CIAA titles and a Black college national title. He and current NCCU coach Henry Frazier had a nice rivalry going in the SWAC and that is sure to continue now that both are together again in the MEAC.

These coaches want to play for a national championship and not for a swac championship game. Grambling will find an even better coach because they have a history of winning football.

Trust me if it's one thing Grambling knows is football, don't need help from anyone in the SWAC on this. We will be fine.:emlaugh:

I think we may go the white route this time around if Doug doesn't come back to coach DJ... I don't think Broadway wanted the pressure of coaching DJ and or being pressured to Start him or bench him if needed. Watch Pete Richardson's name come up as well.. He is eligible to coach again and has always said that Grambling was his dream job... Pete has one more contract left in him.

Damn, how the hell are we losing two of our best coaches to lower-level MEAC teams? Is it because they are East-Coast guys or is the lure of the playoffs that strong? Do you all think the MEAC has something more up their sleeve... like trying to move up to FBS?

I think it's them wanting to go back home. I know it's not money because Broadway was paid very well.

If Doug is not in the equation i say Leahy and let him assemble his staff because i'm sure Broadway's homeboys are going with him.

Dawson is still there, i hear A&T chose another AD. I give Dawson the rest of the semester lol.
 
I don't care who you are this is not a good move for the G this late in the year. Coaching staffs have to be assembled. Recruits will be in limbo...Good luck EyeCon
