I dont want to go against a fellow Jacksonian but I dont know....lol

The EAST will be a mess. JSU will go undefeated again but there are some other matchups that people better keep an eye on. Right now, I will give FAMU that 2 spot BUT that three spot is anyone's to takes. And FAMU better watch their back for that 2 spot.

I see AAMU slipping. They dont have a winning pedigree and they have lost the most. 16 DBs wont save them.
I look for Alabama State to be the sleeper and PLEASE dont sleep on BCU. FAMU will have a tough time with teams like AlaState and GSU on the road. GSU is tough at home. FAMU is bad on the road.

Overall, The WEST is gonna be weaker than the EAST. Winner take all in the Alcorn vs SU game. Too bad Alcorn has to go back to the Bluff. BUT Alcorn has SUs number and Coach Mac has Dooley's number so we shall see.

JSU vs SU will be standing room only!

I still dont buy this "all the teams will be better" story yall tell every summer.

Im from Missouri! (not really but I have been there a few times......lol )
It would be ridiculous to think all 12 teams will be better.

Off the top of my head, I do think Alcorn and Bethune Cookman will be better. However, IMO, every team in the conference not named Jackson State or FAMU has more questions to answer than those two.

I didn't say the conference HAS BECOME a gauntlet. I feel it's on its way to becoming one.

I'm holding out until after the first game. I don't know if Hue is one of those coaches that will not play hard against FBS teams out of risk of injury.

Looking at Southern's early schedule ... I don't think we'll get a fair assessment until after the Pine Bluff game ...

The Spring game said nothing.....there were players in the press box taking notes. That surprised the hell out of me. Hue is running the program like a NFL program.

I never put any stock in a spring game. But, I'm glad Hue did that. Attention to detail is key in football.

Bama State will come in at #2 in the East
Bama A&M will come in last place in the East
Alcorn will win the West
JSU will average over 52K fans this season
Valley will beat southern
UAPB will beat Grambling
PV will beat Texas Southern

I wouldn't put any stock into emotional opinions. PV was picked to finish 5th fall 2021. Duh to the stupids who believed that.

Duh to the even more stupid who do not believe that we return 9 on O and 8 on D. Forget about knowing transfers in because those 2 who left (D) are who most focus on. As if this team is comprised of just 2 folk.

Lack of stolid leadership cost PV 3 games last fall, easily(look Alcorn St & Valley particularly). SU will quickly find out what some of us were bitching about the last few years. 👀

One VERY bold prediction. In as much as I loathe stephenville, tx, I'll get off early and make the drive to root for Valley vs tarleton st. I'll be decked in PV gear but still.... GO SWAC!!! Get'em Valley and coach Dancy and staff!

Don't let Southern Universit\y's one-year deviation from the norm fool you. Our record of 4 - 6 last season reflected the hasty departure of Dawson Odums from the Bluff and the rushed plaement of Jason Rollins in his stead. Rollins inherited a seasoned team, but failed to do anything with it in his first and only season as a head coach. You know and I know that you guys wont get that kind of windfall from SU again. As the coaches and SIDs just showed in its pre-season rankings, SU should be back at the top where she rightfully belongs

Though y’all are my early favorites to come out of the west, I don’t trust Dooley on the big stage when it matters.
