Toni Harris becomes 1st female position player to sign a football scholarship

Unless that scholarship she received to play football is specifically for women football or flag football, which I'm guessing isn't, let her get out there with the fellas and play football.
You and I don't disagree on much but this is one time I strongly disagree with your position.

While the human anatomy can only take so much physical duress, I adamantly believe that our (women's) bodies were not created/designed to take the same physical stress as the male anatomy. I'm not ashamed to say we (women) were created as the weaker vessel (physically), and that some things should be given over to the men. Football is one of those things.

This is my own personal belief.

And that's one of the reasons why I love you, my heart of hearts. But I stand by my position. From the double minority standpoint (Black woman), I've come to realize that with equal rights come the harsh reality of those rights. We (women) want equal pay, but can't understand why employers won't alter job descriptions/duties when they call for physical strain on the body. We as Black people wanted integration, but we're shocked/surprised/appalled when neighbors spray-paint racial epithets/slurs on our homes and cars; we're ready to protest and sue when our college athletes are verbally oppressed with racist remarks. No, it doesn't make it right when these things happen, but unfortunately it is the harsh reality that comes along with equal rights.

Therefore, since football is the most physically rough sport in the league of sports, and since this girl wants to play football, and since there are no female football teams in the NCAA, I say let her get out there and play football. And she should be treated equally as her teammates. You've lived on this Earth longer than I have and I know you know that equal don't always mean fair.

Kendrick there was the girl playing junior football. She played FB. She would light the boys up on a sweep. Well she hit my son and decided to talk shit afterwards. They ran the play again. My son treated her like a man. Knocked he damn near to the next week.

The father ran on the field about to jump on my son...that’s when all of us hit the field. He was mad about his daughter getting laid. His response, “she’s a girl and boys are not supposed to hit girls.”

She is a cheerleader now.

If it were me, I'da told him, "This is football and players are supposed to hit other players. You don't yo girl hit, tell her to quit playing football. Otherwise, unsportsmanlike on both offset!"

Equal pay for equal work is not something I have a problem with but this is not the same thing. Even on the professional level...athletes are paid more for their drawing power than their athletic prowess. Now some may argue they go hand in hand and I can hardly disagree with that because butts in the seats drive the market. This young lady may bring people to games because she is a novelty and once that wears off where is her value...if she is not a "stud" (no pun intended) at her position she will end up being a failed experiment.

I remember there were some on here who thought Griner should be in the NBA...after viewing her play in the WNBA who now thinks she can hold her own in the NBA?

Women should not play with men.....period.

Oh goodness don’t bring that back up. The whole “changed” the game thread. LMAO!!

The WNBA is a great example. Who supports this league, financially? I'll let you think about that question. Hell, the women don't even want to see other women play professionally in America.
