Man yall should have hired him as head coach. Don't worry he will be promoted to head coach for yall in LOSStober!!!

What has OMJ accomplished as a head coach?

What did Hopson accomplish in his first year as a HC? What did Spady accomplish in his first year? What did Barlow accomplish in his first year? What did Black Worm accomplish in his first year? Really dude? Why is that relevant?

I said as a HC, not in his first year. You call him a living legend. Well that may be true as a player but I'd like for you to explain how is a he a legend as a HC.

You have no idea how much Chang and others respect working for a living legend. Just because you all are ignorant does not mean the rest of the world is.

As a player yes...but I am not talking about that. what has he accomplished? Hell Fobbs took some dudes who didn't want to play a game and damn near took them to the SWAC Championship in his first season.

What has your coach done to be even considered a Living Legend Football Coach!!!!

After retiring from professional football, Jackson coached receivers for 10 years in the NFL with New England (1985–89), Tampa Bay (1992–93) and New Orleans (1997–99). In his first NFL season as a coach, the Patriots won the AFC Championship and played in Super Bowl XX. In 1987 he suited for two of the Patriots replacement games, but did not play. Jackson served as the receivers coach at Baylor University.[5] On January 13, 2014, Jackson was named the head coach at Jackson State University.

Head Coach Record
Jackson State 5-7 (Conference 3-6)

Me to....these JSU folk are killing me with their rationale.
You guys lucked into some wins last year and you think Fobbs is God....You didn't win a swac game for two years. Never has happen in Jackson but we're suppose to take your word for it. You guys are one dimensional and really don't want to run the ball.. Your defense was the weakest part of your team last year and they're still weak. Your QB is your best running back and behind him their is nobody....Keep worrying about OMJ but Fobbs is on the clock this season. No expectations last year but he has to live up to the hype now...

Fobbs was a fumbled spiked ball away from being 6-6 along with OMJ. How many times must I point this out!? If had ran our 4-3 defense last year, you would have lost...

You do know that OMJ is a legitimate contender for the NFL Hall of Fame, right? He was a five time pro-bowler. Watch his highlight film. OMJ was a bad man! lol

Maybe as a player but right now he's a bad coach. You posted numbers of his when he played the game but how bout doing the same for him as a coach.

This is OMJ first job as a HC. His previous stints at a HC don't count because they asked him to start the program at Bendict. It was a club team. They didn't give scholarships. Once he got the program started and sanctioned, he went back to the NFL. The only other time, he took over for a coach who was 2-7 and he just finished he season for him as an interim for two games. So as a HC, OMJ is 5-7.

Are you clear now?

You know y'all lucked into some wins too. Especially against FAMU and Alcorn

What makes him a bad HC? Is Hopson a bad HC because he went 4-7 his first year? Is Comegy a bad coach becasue he won THREE games after taking his players to the SCG two years in a row?

Nope because obviously you believe that just becase a person is a great player that means they will be a great coach.

Fobbs was on the clock the minute he took the job. Truth be told NOBODY expected us to do as well as we did last year. Guess what...WE ARE BACK and it feels good.

FAMU maybe.. but we whooped Alcorn's azz. Alcorn only got back into the game when Ivy went down. When Ivy went down, they scored two TDs. Ivy came back out and scored two TDs to win the game for us... on top of that, our defense was BOSS that day. Alcorn only had 3 points at the end of the first quarter.

Where did I say that? I just see where he turned our season around last year and I like that we totally changed our defense. Had we ran this defense last year, we might have been in Houston! We certainly would have gone 8-4 at least because we would have beat Grambling, PV and Valley with ease.
