Tim and Amy Duncan Agree to Put Divorce On Hold

There is never a good time for a relationship to end or divorce proceedings to be put into place, even if the move is necessary and agreed upon by both sides. Working through a divorce trial while working as an All-NBA member of a team two wins away from the NBA Finals, though, would be quite the mental task. It has not been completely confirmed by the player, team, or representatives, but the San Antonio-Express News is reporting that it’s more than likely that Tim Duncan and his wife have engaged in divorce proceedings, and that the San Antonio Spurs big man is attempting to delay the trial because of his postseason commitments with the team.

The Express-News’ Patrick Danner discovered the case’s paperwork this week, and deduced that the initials utilized in the paperwork (the case is listed as “A.S.D. vs. T.T.D,†Tim’s wife’s name is Amy and Duncan’s middle name is Theodore), some of the language regarding the timeliness, and (sadly), the ages of the couple’s two children to deduce that the Spurs legend is trying to put off the divorce proceedings in order to concentrate fully on the playoff run.

Earlier today, we learned Amy Duncan filed for divorce from San Antonio Spurs legend Tim Duncan. As the details of their failed relationship start to trickle into the public’s eye, the rumors are juicy. First, we have a developing report from Buck Harvey, a veteran writer for the San Antonio Express-News. According to Harvey, Tim first suspected something was up last fall and hired a private detective to track Amy. And though the divorce papers were filed by her back in March, she ended up moving out of the family home approximately 20 days ago.

If she was having an affair and got caught, she gets nada! At least she should get nothing. Maybe money for the kids depending on how old they are. That should be it.

Ah come on why shouldn't she get something...she stay home and took care of his snot nose kids while he was out on the road during those long NBA seasons with all of the pretty ladies and what not...Just like men a women have needs sexually and if her husband stop giving it to her because he is soooo tried shouldn't she be able to go out from time to time to get her a piece last I heard you don't marry to become a nun...she was in for 12 years pay the woman and move on!:emlaugh::devil2:

I doubt any Judge is going to mess over Timmy in San Antonio. He will be fine. Looks like she was the one stepping out. He needs an upgrade anyway. He should go home and get him a woman from the VI.
 
What does it matter if she was white. Ain't like sisters are worth a damn in the marriage game, statistically speaking that is.

Well, over the years, teammates have said during interviews that Duncan's public demeanor isn't the same away from the cameras and the press. Apparently, Tim has been described as quite the extrovert around his teammates and family. He and Stephen Jackson, the polar opposite of Duncan in every way, were really close friends, hung out a lot. Tim said in an interview with SI that he doesn't want to go out of his way to allow the press to see that side of him.

It matters that you black pro sports guys love to give away your money to a white woman but let it be a black woman doing the same thing and she is a gold digging whore who didn't love the man ect.,...and you will fight her tooth and nail to put her out on the street with your kids and not want to give her a dime in support for those kids...but for the white girls you will buy her a house and give her all the money she need to start anew...sure is something ain't it...I have taught mine that it is okay not to marry white!

Not all black athletes put their children on the streets just because they divorced their black wife

Do you know that well over 90 percent of black male athletes date and are married to....wait for it....BLACK WOMEN?

:tup: 70 of AA 1st marriages end in divorce. I'm sure a lot of these athletes take care of their kids (whether they were married to white or black women). I hate all of this stereotyping because of a few bad apples. Also, it takes two to make a marriage fail. All of this self righteous gender bias b.s. get on my last nerve. :lol: :emlaugh:

See, this is the kind of thing I am talking about. Someone takes 10% of black males, make assumptions and paint us all with a broad brush. This angry sister stuff has got to stop. I listen to some of these AA love and relationship shows sometimes on the radio and sometimes wonder who in the hell is she talking about. :lol: :emlaugh:

And the first thing that comes out of some of these angry women mouth if the marriage didn't work out is he's gay. Trick you have 3 or 4 kids and he has been consistently drilling you for the last 5-10 years and sleeping in your bed every night. How about being honest and saying you all grew in different directions? Or being honest and saying that the attraction left? Or you all had financial problems that damaged the love? Or he or you found someone else that you were interested in? Stop running to your trifling girlfriends and lying damn it. :lol: :emlaugh:
