The fans were actually mad we broke the record. The last record was 96 against Alabama or Texas A&M I believe.

I don't think they were mad at all. As a matter of fact, they have been trying to get us back since that game. Between Baton Rouge and Lake Charles there are a lot of Southern and ULL fans. No other school in Louisiana other than LSU will ever be able to match a S.U. vs ULL crowd in Lafayette.

2009-Southern---------41K+
1996-Texas A&M-------38K+
1990-Alabama----------36K+
2007-McNeese---------33K+

I'm actually debating if I'm gonna come to this game or go see my GMen play Lamar the same day. My cousin is the starting center for ULL and a senior this year and all our family going to see him play.

I hope SU is getting a check worthy of the crowd they are bringing to UL

What amount would you consider worthy? This is no different than Grambling travelling to Monroe to play ULM. Our biggest problem is playing other FCS schools in the State of Louisiana. SU can bring a lot of fans to other FCS schools stadiums, but they hardly bring any fans to Mumford stadium, which is why that crazy little McNeese dude was so upset with us when SU elected to pay McNeese the amount in the buyout clause in order to play in the televised ESPN SWAC/MEAC Challenge game instead of giving McNeese a return game. SU was scheduled to play McNeese in Lake Charles in 2005, but the game was cancelled due to Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita. Hurricane Rita was near Lake Charles, which made McNeese revise their schedule. Also, ESPN gave SU the money to pay McNeese. If McNeese wanted SU to return the game in Lake Charles, they should have never taken the buyout money, which just prove that some of these other State FCS schools are just as much on a shoestring budget as HBCU's.

Nope, that's why many of us were angry with Dawson and Pogue for selling us short! We got a total around 275k to 300k even tho we provide 70-50% of the crowd!

Okay....I'm not sure what SU's return value will be, but hypothetically speaking, you do realize that $275k plus the proceeds from 15k tickets is like 63% of the total ticket revenue with a capacity crowd of 41k and an average ticket price of $25. IMO, that is asking for a lot. I'm sure they would make additional monies on parking and concession.

Ill be so glad when yall quit telling this lie. YOU ARE AFRAID OF MCNEESE, FACE IT

How about Jackson State schedule them then and show us how it's done. Acting like JSU has been taking the lead in OOC scheduling.

They just like licking their boots. Maybe they can cheer on that little McNeese dude to come back in here.

Maybe you can argue about attendance instead of wins. That was a funny thread. I need to read it again for a few laughs.

That's all they do.

I knew McNeese's No. 1 bootlicker couldn't miss this thread. And since you are here, I'll have two lumps of sugar in my tea.

Also, when you go back to that attendance thread, maybe you can make some correlation with USA Today's ticket sales revenue for the 3 schools below:

ACCUMULATIVE TICKET SALE REVENUE FROM 2005 TO 2013
SOUTHERN - $15,512,459
Jackson State - $10,120,239
McNeese State - $8,865,081

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/schools/finances/

Maybe jSU can get that little school in southwest Louisiana to help them in justifying a need for a 50k domed stadium.

Here's an image from that school in Jackson, MS.

And su is still struggling financially. Sounds like corruption and mismanagement to me.
All those resources and you STILL can't fill an allotment of golf and tennis teams.:smh:

What you fail to realize, if it wasn't for subsidized School Funds, most HBCUs and a lot of small PWCs would be struggling too. It's just that some are struggling more than others.

ACCUMULATIVE REVENUE WITHOUT SUBSIDIZED SCHOOL FUNDS MINUS ACCUMULATIVE EXPENSES FROM 2005 TO 2013
SOUTHERN - ($22,040)
Jackson State - ($10,361,269)
McNeese - ($30,499,196)

I don't know about you, but the way I see it, I would rather have a deficit of a few thousand dollars for the past 9 years then a deficit of tens of million dollars for the past 9 years.

Like I previously stated, maybe McNeese can help jSU find the financial means to support that 50k domed stadium.

Can somebody remind me exactly how much jSU is paying Deacon Coach Mudbone again?
