We do have young coaches on the rise. But, we have some egotistical head coaches and administrators. Basically, they would take a retread coach, instead, of a assistant with a little experience.
Coach Eley of Alabama State is a great example. I remember, the press conference before the South Alabama game. He basically talked about South Alabama's resources and how, it was money game. Now, he already lost the game -- mentally. Because, he didn't say anything about winning the game.
If I was a A.D., he would've got fired on the spot for that bullsyht
I think you guys aren't giving our coaches enough credit for what you all think they know or may not know. I think it's pretty much a given that all of our coaches are members of the AFCA. And when they meet up at various conventions year in and year out throughout the country, I'm pretty certain that coaching trends and technological advances to assist with coaching are discussed.
As it relates to some of the technological advances some of you are suggesting, there is still that one caveat that is needed to make some of these suggestions a reality. And that is money...which is something that all of our departments struggle with.

Yall settle for mediocre like a mugg and don't press these coaches and A.Ds to do better.
Conference got talent, but the dayum talent has surpassed the coaching in this Pop Warner ass League

If every other quarter you’re going on long ass rants about how sorry the coaches and leagues are, saying what they are or not doing, then go watch another league, because it’s to the point of annoyance. You ain’t saying anything different or innovative — much like the coaches you criticize.

What's gets me is that the information is available to these Coaches via YouTube or Google. You can go watch Scott Cochran's training prgram and others on YouTube and implement it in Your S&C Program. You can find Football Position based Diets for Your entire team also be on Google.

I take it you haven't read this thread, all you see is me saying how sorry the coaches are, that's what you want to pull out when in fact in my long rants, I've posted YT clips of plays, what other schools are doing, and providing, hell there's a YT clip in here that talks what other schools are doing, posters have made comments/suggestion, but yet all you see and wanna post is about my rant about sad ass coaches. Ok.

We just learning how to punt, now what kind of shit is that, It took us 4 weeks last year to get off a decent ass punt. Kids don't deserve that sht, Why LSU and other schools don't have trouble punting the ball (it's been somewhat fixed this year, but dayum that was embarrassing to watch last year) still learning how to throw a dayum RB screen pass, shit look so sad and pitiful

Y’all act like these coaches aren’t aware of the things you’re talking about. I think it’s fair to say that some of the head coaches aren’t fit to be head coaches for whatever reasons, but it’s unfair to them to say these men — with the amount of years in football they’ve been in — don’t know what they’re doing or haven’t tried to evolve in coaching.

Cochran ain't worth a nickel without Alabama's nutrition program. Those guys are not eating normal cafe food.
Generally though, I agree... we do not think outside the box.
In a collegiate environment, thinking outside of the box usually requires more money.

At All, there's no way that this conference should be this pissy. With the talent that's coming into this league or has left this league, also, the way of advertising your brand has become so dayum easy, there are 5 year old out here doing a better job advertising their brand than our schools, Hell IG thots/models/rappers gain a million followers and you mean to tell me a whole department that's dedicated to marketing your school/brand can't market a dayum school?? lol. like come on
It' almost a push button setup to display your program, few dollars to do what others are doing. Tons of tutorials on YT on what other schools and groups are doing. You can watch Nick Saban whole practice online.
Like this is unacceptable. They end up killing this dayum conference or have it where ppl only will go to game just for H.C. and then leave.
What is Saban running now that he didn't run (for the most part) when he was at LSU?

I know money is a big factor, but sometimes you have to become creative when money is not available. A lot of times, we rely too much on things we do not have. This is why five star Black recruits don't come to us. We can be our own worst enemies. We teach our kids from birth that money is everything, therefore it is conditioned in our five star recruits to go to programs with money.

Exactly!!! People always wanna throw wet dollars at the wall and think that's it. What good is it if Alumni go buy a state of the art Jug machine for the coach only to rarely use it.
It's still techniques on YouTube that can be mimicked. We don't have to be these Great Innovators. It's okay to borrow Training Practices and Systematic Nuances.

I'm sorry 89, I've got to push back on this. You say you know money is a big factor, but we have to be creative when money is not available. That sounds like fundraising to me. What am I missing?
And when you say 5-star black recruits don't come to "us," who specifically is "us"? Are you referring to HBCUs? Because if that the case I don't see 5-start black athletes going to FCS PWIs either.
