Jackson police Detective Marcus Wright admitted to federal authorities he entered a duplex on Ridgeway Street without a search warrant and without asking for permission.

He said he drew his weapon inside the home, clearing it.

In a plea deal with authorities, the former bodyguard to Mayor Frank Melton confessed to what he did at the house on the night of Aug. 26, 2006, and will tell a jury what the mayor and fellow bodyguard Michael Recio did.
