GSU the class of the SWAC - give credit where credit is due. The G-Men are headed for another SWAC Championship. No one is close to beating the Boys from Louisiana Normal College

1. GSU - As the season is heading toward the championship finale the boys from Louisiana Normal College are tasting SWAC Championship and no one appears to be close to stopping them. Up next for the G-men is Alabama State. Cole knows his X's and O's but the Hornet don't have enough horses to beat the G-men in Grambling.

2. Alabama A&M - The Bulldogs and coach Jones are the surprise of the conference. However to beat Jackson in Jackson is going to take an awful lot. The Bulldogs win with defense and an opportunistic offense. The tigers are big play. Good defense has proven to winout against good offense. I'm going with the DAWGS.

2. Alcorn - Cross a big hurdle beating SU in Baton Rouge. Will have it easier against the Delta Devils. Might get the big head or caught looking pass MVSU. I don't think so.

3. Alabama state - Still waiting for news regarding the forfeit with APB. Don't stand a chance against the G-Men in Grambling.

4. JSU - Pride and tradition plus Kent make this an interesting contest against AA&M. good defense has shown can stop the Tigers. The Bulldogs are good on Defense. Bulldogs make a statement. JSU Mafia calls for Hughes head.

5. SU - Sooner or later the Jaguars are going t put it all together. Hurting at QB. Rumors have it there could be a change a coming.
Game against Miles will be a tuneup.

6. APB - Going no where but will prevail against the Panthers.

7. TSU - Clark is a no contest, then so was Stillamn. Getting ready for game at Southern

8. MVSU - Improved but will not beat the Braves.

9. PVU - 15 scholarships won't do. Will lose again.

Doctor your right about grambling .The only team that can beat gram is gram and bad playcalling.if doug keeps calling the right plays gram will score 45 points a game easily.the classic still scares me too many funny things happen there????

Gooddoctor,

If AAMU had just a little more offensive firepower I would agree with you.

If AAMU can keep J-State under 30 points, they got a chance. But AAMU struggles just to score 20 points in a game and I think that will hurt them in the end.

JSU 34, AAMU 20

Key to beating JSU

It is not a secret that JSU has the players on offense and a great trigger man in Kent.

The key to beating them is to force them into mistakes. This is done by pressuring Kent and the Tigers offense.

In their losses they have folded under defenseive pressure. They don't protect the football.

Review their losses, to USM, NCA&T, & Bama State. Coach Jones is going to turn Mathis and the Dawgs lose.

By the way Hughes said he was going to turn the tigers lose. Now the JSU mafia is wanting to turn Hughes lose.

I'll say it again a good defense can stop a good offense.

The Tigers ain't gonna score 30 points Saturday ran or shine. AA&M will score 3 TD's and that will be enough.

Kent's heriocs usually occur when the game is out of reach.

This is a money game and JSU will come out short.

Re: Key to beating JSU

Like I said on a previous post, this year is like the last one. AAMU is good, but they never play us well and if they were gonna beat us, they would've done it already. In SWAC football, you don't win if u can't at least move the ball. AAMU hasn't shown they can do that yet. And our defense is still pretty good. The only way AAMU wins is if they score at least twice on defense and special teams and if they get a lot of short fields to work with on offense.

Not gonna happen.

Everyone know that defense wins game. JSU has a good ofense but AAMU has a better defense. They will pressure their QB to make him make mistakes. I see Kent getting sack at least 4 times and out those 4 sack 2 will be for a fumbles. JSU will not be able to run against AAMU

People are saying that we do not have a good enough offense, but we have good special teams that will give us good field postition.

This will be a game that goes down to the wire. I see AAMU winning this one:

AAMU: 21
JSU 14

GD,

I won't discuss the USM and A&T because those games are too hard to analyze at this point in the season. Also, A&T gave JSU NO defensive pressure.

ASU and Gram did a lot defensively against JSU and I doubt very seriously that AAMU can do much better. The difference here is that those teams that came at us defensively could also hold on to the ball and keep it from Kent and company. This will be the deciding factor in the game. JSU is going to score at least 28 points and we will win by two TD's like we always do.

a key factor to this game will be turnovers... JSU is very turnover prone and AAMU is way ahead of the league in turnover margin... AAMU KNOWS how to strip the ball.... Mathis is a excellent HITTER but he also knows how to strip the ball. Kent likes to give the ball up. I expect at least 5 or 6 turnovers from JSU.

JSU 35
1-11 10

AAMU will not be able to move the ball....they might score twice on some kind of fluke play, but thats about it. They will not be able to do anything with any kind of consistency. They will not be able to run the ball, and they certainly cant throw it. Our defense will perform this week better than they did last week.

I can really see A&M getting embarrassed.
You cant use Gram and ASU as an example because those guys play offense.....A&M does not.

See, that's why you will lose that bet with Mike and the Pound and will be off the Board next week. Only someone who is not familiar with what has happened this season would believe that JSU will score 28 points on us. The most points scored on us all year is the 23 scored by Gram. JSU is no GSU.

You can't use previous matchups to determine this game. AAMU played Grambling early in the season wen Grambling was struggling on offense.

Everybody has improved since that game. Our defense is even better now. Two of our top secondary players were out when we played Gram. They are back now.

Our offense is better that it was when we played Gram. We will be able to move the ball on JSU. JSU has to prepare for two styles of offense run by A&M. If our passing game goes south, we'll move the ball on the ground.

AD, haven't you heard? Scared people from AAMU are not posting this week. Glad you finally showed your face on the board. Guess you got tired of just reading and tried to sneak one in huh?

(whispering: "I seeeeeeeeee youuuuuuuuuu"!)

Bet sucka!

Your passing game is already down south and you won't run on JSU. That's out. Crossing the 50 is not even a part of the equation for AAMU.

When a team uses 2 different styles of offense, that's usually a sign that the team has no offense. If you can't throw the ball, hten there's no way you can beat JSU.

Mighty Hornet and the BumbleBees said the same thing before the MCC. See how wrong they were.

Like Mighty Dog continues to tell the Mafia, the objective of the game is to score more points, not to rack up meaningless yards. Winning is what AAMU does best. JSU does not have the moxy to compete with us in a hard fought game. We hit too hard, and we cause our opponets to fumble numerous times during a game. Furthermore, we have more motivation because we have more on the line. Going to the SCG is what our team wants badly. JSU doesn't want it bad enough. If it did, it would not have lost the game to the BumbleBees.

AAMU might have crossed the 50 one time against ASU without assistance from a turnover. You will need JSU to beat JSU if you want to win because you all shole can't do it. You need to just forfeit this one and focus on Alcorn.

JSU will help AAMU because they will turn the ball over. MORE THAN ONE TIME. After we win I want to see what JSU have to say

Otherwise what happens. Also, if we turn the ball over three times, we still win. Only 6-8 turnovers could assure you a victory in Jackson. Regardless,it is sad that you have to pray for turnovers because you know that pound for pound the other team is better.

you may have crossed the 50.... 25 times against ASU.. BUT YOU STILL LOST.....

So I guess you comparing teams now. Trust me, you won't beat JSU without crossing the 50. ASU would not have beat JSU without crossing the 50 regardless of how they were harrassing Kent. This is a whole new scenerio.

Naw, we are not forfeiting anything. If you want a win on your record, prove that you have the moxy to win it on the field. I don't think JSU can handle the hard physical play of our defense or special teams. JSU is not ready for what's coming at them.

How in the hell am I comparing teams... YOU keep sayin what AAMU did against ASU, GSU, MVSU...etc All I am saying is we won.

I am saying that you don't have an offense. That's not comparing teams.

I am also saying that you really don't think your team can win so at this point, I don't see the need in entertaining you. Also, no one has gotten over on our special teams all year.
