I'm suprised that Bubs aint call his girl Kema about getting smacked around and robbed by this guy.

Namond aint nothing but a little punk kid, always talking like he's big ****. He got his arse whomped and was force to change corners.

Kema doing a little investigation on her own and got the murder case figured out.
 
Boy, things are closing in. Those bodies are getting closer and closer to being found. I'm not sure if "THE WIRE" is trying to simply address ISSUES with America's Public School system, but they are bringing some things to attention with our system.
 



I want someone to pistol whip Namond's sorry azz mother.

No more attention than what they aready know. They know that these schools are teaching the test and not how to really learn.

Namond gonna get his arse busted by his mother about not doing the corner where he was at first. He's running scared and got that little arse boy hiding his stash for $10.

That class got them corner kids talking about life, they soon will be learning what they need to once they figure out how it is all relative.
 
One of my partners is a Math teacher and he once asked a question to his Math students. The question was "How many ounces are in a pound"? They all looked like, HUH? So he rephrased it, he said, "How many pieces make a cake of weed?" They were like, SHIDDDD NEGRAW, everybody knows you cut that cake 16 ways and sell each $XX.XX. You can make a killing!!".

All kids can learn, you may have to approach it from a different angle, but they can learn.
 
I guess one cake of weed=one pound of weed. I think I just learned something today...LOL

I keep wanting to post something and I almost forget everytime that ya'll havent seen all the episodes yet.:lol:
 
That is funny .. I call cake cooked crack before it is cut up (or money). A pound of weed is never referred to as a cake around these parts. Weed don't come bundled in pound increments. You have to break a brick to get a pound. I get the analogy though. You will be amazed at the stuff kids know. You just have to pull it out of them and make the lesson relevent to what they are going through. Sometimes you can't do that with advanced topics, but basics such as math, science, and reading can incorporate real life experiences to make the subject more palatable.
 
What about wet/dry measures...

We got some regular Martha Stewards in the ghetto.

They got kids telling urban myths about them. There is no mistake who they are and what their purpose is.
 
This was probally one of the better episodes.

Whats up with the Mayor elect. He pulling some shady politics.


Its a shame that some of our children have not been exposed to restarants.
Not saying you should just through some kids right in the fire of Ruth's Chris, but just the simple stuff like forks, and knowing what a "special" is was kinda dishearting.
 
It's amazing how Proposition Joe comes up with all of that police intel. If he really wanted to set Marlo up, he could.

I wonder if Omar is gonna take Marlo out??? I'm starting to like Chris and Snoop.

Now we see why that one little guy never wanted to be alone with Cutty.

You sort of brought something up like this in another thread. The school that I teach at is in a neighborhood were majority of the kids never get the opportunity to go beyond, so every year we take the 6th graders to the Peabody Place, just for the exposure. Its like that....................,

Something has had to have happened to Michael before. Do you notice how whenever a adult comes up on him he always turn his head down and trys to avoid eye contact. Seems like he's getting with Marlo's crew to get rid of bugs Daddy. Little Kev figured out that Randy snitched on him because Herc is messing up. Herc gonna lose those stripes if he keeps messing up like this, he aint learned nothing from those days being around the other guys in Major Crimes.

Did you see how Kema was looking after that other women came in the house when she was visiting her ole girlfriend to give her some child support money.
