Yep. It is a good recruiting tool as well. We traveled like that even when I was in the band. LOL. Hopefully we keep it that way with expenses climbing. One of the reasons we formed a Jukebox Alumni Group.

Our band travels where we want to travel. Some bands are not worth our travel but the BOOM is typically at every JSU home and away game except PV and something tells that this is going to change in the near future.
JR, the Boom has started to become more organized as evidenced by the Sonic Boom Reunion and Banquet during Homecoming and the Alumni J-Settes.

The Sounds of Dynomite travels a lot also, the only place we didnt go was to PV, and the year before I got there, they did go there but it rained really hard that game and they werent able to perform.

Nobody can travel to PV because there are no visitor side bleachers.
I went to a PV game a couple years back, and took 2 snaps at QB before they realized that I was just an observer :lol: :lol:

That's one of the main reasons JSU's not so hot on travelin there. Not enuf seats for the BOOM.
At least at southern, there are a few seats reserved for the BOOM.:smh:

Walked in that back gate and the QB was barking signals, so hell we started yelling numbers and colors back at him and the o-line started looking around and they had to call time out:jump: . I couldn't believe what I was seeing. We had disrupted a college football game and forced a timeout. The coach was:splat: pissed to say the least. We were proud

Panthro, can you update on the status of PV's stadium. Surely we can't support your AD into the commish office if he can't even get a decent stadium for a school with 6500 students.

Our band has traveled to all the schools in the league except the TX schools.
Now, as I recall, your band did not make the trip to Huntsville a few years ago. The excuse we heard was that they were boycotting dummy Bell.

I don't think the BOOM missed a TxSO trip during the Bell era. I think Bell only played them twice anyway. The BOOM did NOT go to TxSo this year though because there was no where for us to sit. JSU fans came to take over. I still think the BOOM should have gone though as we always do but JSU is not used to playing in 3rd world stadiums.

This thread is worthless, everybody ****ing on each others facilities but jocking other conferences facilities. Instead we should be thinking of ways to upgrade and improve our stadiums. We have a nice stadium and field house, but it needs upgrading with technology, infrastructure, etc. We should be putting our minds together instead of ****ing on each other.

The only game that I can think of in the past few years that the BOOM wanted to go on but did not make it was the trip to Greensboro vs A&T. The BOOM had a scheduling conflict with a Battle of the Bands that Sunday. The BOOM technically still could have gone to Greensboro but Liddell mucked that up becasue he was late with paperwork.
