I know that. It was an example of black women believing what they want with or without the facts. Just because there is a book written about perverted behavior that black men in the minority exhibit doesn't mean its the majority. But you all love to harp on our short comings rather than bettering yourselves as a person. That's cool.

Well, if a man's shortcoming is the fact that he likes to do it in the booty, we shall forever talk about that and the danger it provides to the woman, himself, and possibly any offspring he may bring into that situation.

Don't be afraid to discuss it. Keeping it hidden is the reason that many men (not just black/white...whatever) are dying of AIDS and the women they hide it from are contracting the disease as well. EVERYONE has a part in this.

Stop wearing your feelings on your sleeve about SOME people discussing the actions of SOME others. No one believes that this DL issue belongs to all black men. If so, that is an igorant person.

This isn't about harping on the black man's "shortcomings"! This is about bringing some truth to the light so that our people can be MORE careful and AWARE!
If men are doing the DL thing (and a lot are), then it needs to be known!
If you ain't the one doing it, don't get upset! Keep your own eyes open and be careful. This isn't just affecting women but men, too.

DL brothers are a new RECOGNIZED factor to the spread of HIV and AIDS. I say recognnized because it is nothing new, I'm sure married men were sleeping with other men 30 years ago. The fact is today, it is simply too easy to contract the HIV virus.

Lets do the numbers game.

We have ten people and one of them is HIV+. He sleeps gives it to one of the remaining 9. That one person has 5 partners over the next 2 years and they give it to 2 of them. Those two in turn have 5 partners. This thing gets ugly. Its like a cancer that spreads, only its spreading from one body to another. Hetro, Homo, Retro, needles, blood transfusions and anything else can transmit the disease. At least people are giving more attention to it, unfortunately the "Naked Truck Head" club hasn't shut down.

The fact is men are not coming clean with their wives or S/O when it comes to swinging both ways. That's the point the women on here are making. If you are ashamed of it, why do it. And futhermore, why take somebody else down with you in the process.

If you like to rock that way, then don't straddle the fence! Stay on one side or the other.

Why oh why are some of ya'll getting so uptight about these down low brothers? Almost defensive to some point of diversion. :shades:

If we are in all agreement that men/women should be upfront and honest about their sexual background, then why are some keeping the topic heated up?

She sure did. But I think he wasn?t exactly on the DL about it. Supposedly he TOLD her about him being with other men in his past and she doesn?t care (if she wants to live in denial then that?s on her). :smh:

Nobody said it is a problem, but people didn't jump on the bandwagon until it was spoken about on Okra. It like some folks are saying that she made an amazing discovery. People have been talking about DL folks a long time. How many times have we (general term) whispered about the "lil sissified man" in the church choir...or that cousin/uncle that has never been seen with a woman...or that aunt that never seems to be interested in men...every knew the deal with these guys a long time ago.

Bottom line...folks need to be careful who they jump in the sack with. When famous folks started dying from AIDS...it scared them for a while, but they went right back to getting their freak on raw style as the years passed.

As far as the folks that are sneaking around and dl'ing...and then going back home to their spouse...the only thing I can say to them is they need to make their fuggin minds up on who they wanna be with...and be true to yourself. It is not fair to your S/O.
