Jim Wright in the NCAA?s statistics service still works in a staff of seven, and the posting of today?s stats was delayed by the lack of reports from the Southwestern Athletic Conference, a common problem. The NCAA has to compile stats for all three divisions for baseball and softball and can?t do it without all the schools reporting."

Can't blame him. I rest my case. :) Stupidity and performance @ a low level is quite adequately accepted <b>here</b> in SWACland. :) If this were a corporation, heads and severance pkgs would've been rolling quite a few years ago.

This is HIGHLY unacceptable and makes the SWAC look more "bush" than it already is. :retard:

I'll smack and bullsh*t w/ the best of them 'TilUDie... but, when I note bullsh*t that NEEDS to be corrected, I get overly damn serious. I've "hee-hee'd" and "haw-hawwww'd" around the last 5 years, like everyone else in the SWAC, and even the SLC (for those that do not know what that means, it's the <b>Southland Conference</b> w/ the likes of McNeese, Sam Houston State, Texas State, Stephen F Austin, and Northwestern St among others) has bypassed us in competitivity.

They are <b>routinely</b> tearing us a new one in damn near every freaking sport the SWAC sponsors and our OOC performance against Div-I is ridiculously sub-par. Where's that article?

I don't claim this. And I most certainly don't accept this. :tdown:

I said it many times before and I'll say it again. JSU, SU, Gram, FAMU, and Tenn. St. should move to the Sunbelt conference "TOGETHER". The SWAC isn't moving forward and the opposition is using that against us. Its conceivable that members of the SWAC run their institutions like they run their conference......in the ground. Why would any major network wish to invest in something that has no "bright" future? My reference would be the technology of today. Lets take a look at common technology that is used today........the internet. Their conference website looks sihty and that means the product is sihty. If the product is sihty, then the ratings will be sihty, and if the ratings are sihty then we'll be out of a job. I tell you what. It's only right that we give the conference a fair deal. Since their product is sihty ,then we'll give you a sihty tv deal, and we'll all be happy. You leave with siht when you bring siht to the table.
 
Royal Blue if you don't understand that the members of the conference are the actual conference by now you never will. SU, JSU, and GSU (and the other 7) ARE the conference. We leave, we just take some of the bad management styles with us.

Not trying to make excuses for the SWAC office, but from what I know the only way the SWAC office can send out reports on time is to be able to get reports from all 10 of the SIDs on time so that the SWAC can produce a full report. It begins with our SIDs.
 
That excuse is old. It is the SWAC's responsiblity to ensure that this things are done on time and they are dependant of the SWAC schools being on time. Therefore, it is there responsibilty to penalized the schools who are not on time causing them to not be on time. It's called a fine.

But a fine still doesn't get the report turned in. School gets fined, and another deadline is set. Yet, it remains the schools responsibility to have the stats together and get turned in. We treat these positions (SID and staff) as afterthoughts. How hard is it to have an official scorekeeper at the game keeping the stats on a laptop. Verify the stats and submit them, IMMEDIATELY!!!
 
Nevermind... The SWAC does fine them already. They just don't care. Maybe the amount of the fine should be raised.

The fine does not get the information turned it but if a school is fine every time without exceptions if there are intelligent people working at the schools they may see it would serve them better to hire another person to assist doing the duties of a SID than to continue paying the fine.

A fine is the equivilent of a speeding ticket. While it may not stop speeding, it may slow some people down.
