For the last time. It isn't nothing. Sheesh. Jerry Rice doesn't think it's nothing. Jerome Bettis does not think it is nothing. Troy Aikman, Mark Brunell, John Harbaugh, and the list goes on. Why do you an ex athlete think it is NOTHING? You condone getting over at all costs no matter how minor or major huh?
The NFL put those rules in for a reason. IF someone intentionally violates those rules then what? What I think is nothing is forcing Marshawn Lynch to talk to the damn media. But it is the rules. So guess what. Tom Brady and Bill B and the Patriots need to follow the rules. THey should have been smart enough not to get caught. Better yet, they knew damn well they were better than the Colts and didn't need an edge. So why do it in the AFC title game where you risk getting caught even more so than the regular season. Idiots.
If their history of being slick was not out there then maybe it would be a slap on the wrist type of thing. But you sound like you want them to keep on doing dirt. I don't like Goodell. But hell he is the commish and if Marshawn Lynch has to be fined and follow the rules of just talking to the media clowns. Then TOm Brady and his Patriots should not be deflating footballs under the regulated pressure. The NFL will look like hypocrits if they let this ride.
Since they like cheating so much. Maybe the NFL needs to make sure Seattle has a competitive advantage on Super Sunday. LOL. I am telling you Seattle is about to beat that arse for Goodell. LOL. First of all, they didn't rescind anything. The union force them to suspend it and they still made him pay $70k
Now either answer our questions are keep it moving
1. Jerry Rice, Aikman, Bettis and all those guys are paid to have an opinion. They kinda have to make something out of it. Having polarizing opinions make for good TV, radio and copy.
2. I don't know how much of a definitive difference playing with a deflated ball has on the game or performance since 99.9 percent of the people who are talking about this don't either, and didn't know such a rule or practice was even in existence until four days ago.
3. I'm not condoning what the Patriots have done. But all of the reaction seems to be forced and over the top simply because of the team that being accused. If this was the Seahawks, Packers or Broncos, it wouldn't even escalated to a Tom Brady press conference shown live on CNN. Over air pressure in footballs. This is a scandal now? This is international news? I'm not getting worked up over this. Of all the other issues in the NFL to get worked up over this.
4. I think Lynch should be able to do what he wants. He should be able to wear gold spikes. He shouldn't have to talk to the media even though his exchanges with the press are just priceless. He should be able to grab his junk while scoring TDs. I love him. He's good for football.

I immediately noticed something that cannot be overlooked: the issue with ball security and fumbles. Then I remembered this remarkable fact:
The 2014 Patriots were just the 3rd team in the last 25 years to never have lost a fumble at home! The biggest difference between the Patriots and the other 2 teams who did it was that New England ran between 150 and 200 MORE plays this year than those teams did in the years they had zero home fumbles, making the Patriots stand alone in this unique statistic.

The NFL now wants to "Spread The SuperBowl Wealth" to other teams. Think about it:
Packers: 60s
Steelers: 70s
49ers: 80s
Cowboys: 90s
Patriots: 00s
When a team wins more than 2-3 Superbowls in a short time span, I truly believe the NFL tries to "nix" some games so other teams from other cities can be highlighted.
Keep in mind this also: The NFL is still to this day bitter over Jerry making a fool of them in court :lol:.
If this had gotten out about the Patriots and they were playing the Cowboys, the Cowboys would have The Nation backing them in the Super Bowl. Goodell is on his knees thanking those refs in secret.
The Dallas Cowboys are not the enemy of the people. They are the enemy of the NFL. Oh, and notice how bold Jerry was about an LA Stadium being built? God dell probably hates him for that :lmao:.

I don't think the outrage is fake. If it was. Then there would be no press conferences to deny. Folks in the league are pissed. Plus the NFL opened this box up with their hard stance on their rules. But there is nothing fake about the outrage. Especially since it is the Patriots involved once again. Lesser team cheating and still not being good is pathetic. So that would be a Cmon man story. So it would get some run just to laugh at them. No outrage.
But again the outrage is real. Folks hate the Patriots anyway. So it's real. Goodell hates Belichick from all reports. So you know he is like WTF now. Lol.

You miss the point dude. I think every pundit has said it didn't change the game outcome. The Colts were not going to win. Which actually makes it worse what the Pats did. Lol.
Just like someone said comparing it to watergate. Nixon dumb arse was going to win the election anyway. Didn't need to bug the Demos office. The Pats were going to win regardless. Brady ordering the code red was stupid. Didn't need to do it. Lol.
If the players on the field and pundits in suits all say the condition of the ball didn't impact the game, why is everyone making such a big deal about this then?
Why is this leading the Today Show? CBS News? On Anderson Cooper? On Fox News?
Fake outrage because of the team involved and because the Super Bowl is nine days away. That's why.

Not many are saying that. Plus I don't listen to public opinion. I have been listening to folks I respect in the media, players, other coaches. None of them say go to that extreme. But since they are repeat offenders, the NFL will have to do something more than on the books. It is not bounty gate. But the NFL drew a tough line on that situation and they are talking about fining Lynch more than it says if he don't do his interviews. So they will have do more than what's on the books. Just because it is the Pats. They just like Lynch are repeat offenders of NFL rules. If they screw with Lynch next week and let the Pats off light. Then that's wrong.
We all know they are not doing anything until after the Super Bowl. Which is fine with me. But after it is over. The NFL better do something.
