The Passion of the Christ

is that because folks dont HAVE the answers?

(btw, i ask God all sort of questions all of the time - He knows that i am inquisitive ... of course, He DID create me)

Truth be told, a lot of times we may not have the answers OR we are only repeating what has been explained to us and we accept these explanations as truth based soley on FAITH that GOD IS, WAS, and IS TO COME.

Truth be told we misinterpret, misunderstand and misjudge a lot that the Bible has to say. So what can we rely on? Only our faith in HIM.

'gal

i'm looking forward to what you're cooking up :)

LLuck

there ARE contradictions (eg the timeline differences between the four Gospels as it relates to when Jesus kicked the money changers out of the temple, how Jesus is supposed to be the flesh of God YET he says "OUR Father..." instead of MY Father or ME who is in Heaven, "Forgive them Father...", et cetera) but look into YOUR own heart and YOUR own soul and focus on YOUR personal relationship with God

that is what I did, what i have always done, what i still do and my spiritual happiness grows every day on account of it

my asking questions is not an affront to God - rather, not using the brain that God gave me would be the real sin

if using the brain and the eyes and the ears and all of the other senses that God gave me helps me see things that are not as my faith tells me they should be then i believe i am not doing anything wrong

not using what i was given by the ONLY Divine Power, on the other hand, is quite wrong

**YES, i believe that God has a Holy Spirit but it is not a separate part of God

This thread was about whether or not the movie would cause anti-semitism. Somewhere during this thread it was posted that Jesus did not die. From there the thread took a U-turn from it's origination. We all believe what we want to believe and I am not going to point my finger and say that some of you are wrong. I believe what I know to be correct and it's apparent that you are strong in your beliefs.

All, nobody is going to convert someone who doesn't want to be converted, so please give it up!! There comes a time when you get self out of the way and put it in GOD's hands.

Can we please get back to the main focus of the thread. :smh: If not, can this thread be closed and a new topic started on whether or not JESUS is GOD??

Amen....while some may not think at all; my opinion is that some think too hard....some things I take at "faith" value, adding in prayers to HIM for spiritual discernment.

ok, so Jesus comes in flesh FROM God

i believe that

what i have a problem with is when people try to say that Jesus came in the flesh AS God
...

Easy concept...The essence of God in flesh. Like Adam was before the fall. That is why Paul the apostle refers to Him as the SECOND ADAM. Because he had no sin, he simply walked in dominion to show us what life is like without sin. Yet, it was a package deal in that he could not walk around like us and not be affected by the same things that affect us. So the greatness of Him becomes the fact that since He endured so much for our sin in order that we might exchange our life for His, we now have the capacity to endure the same things. He that knew no sin became sin for us...and died to show us what death is like with sin. The net is that He not only took away our sin but our excuses as well. The wonder is that He provided us with grace to make up the difference between now and the end of this physical existence.

Hassan, God did not die. God is spirit. Jesus died. So will you and I short of His return. Jesus also rose from the dead never to die again. So will all who believe on Him as Saviour at the time of His return.

Well, you already know that I believe that JESUS was GOD in the flesh, so I'll make sure not to post in the new thread....;)

I don't compromise on this issue, because it then becomes surrender.

I now digress....:)
