Sorry yall. I could not get them both in the same post. I am surprised no one mention Bobby Womack/K-Ci Haily. One of the best remakes I have ever heard.

I had never heard Ella Fitzgerald's rendition of Get Ready. Not as good as the Temps, but it wasn't bad.

I be schooling folks. Troop was my generation but I was indeed familiar with the J-5 version that a lot of my peers didn't know about. That piano prelude by Chucki Booker at the beginning of Troop's version though. #loveit

From the time that I first heard this redo of Marvin's classic by Robin Thicke and Pharrell (are they still denying that their "version" was not Marvin's song or was the court case settled), I was so disappointed!!
