But he didn't say that. He was wondering who is better Davis or Banks. He didn't automatically say Banks was the best.

I don't know what it is about S.U. but the mere words make some otherwise rational thinking folks get mentally discombobulated. :emlaugh: I blame Dean Pete for a lot of this mess! Emeritus Jobe is partially the blame too and cannot be exempt! I would be remise if not laying some of the blame on General Cador also! This diabolical trio have really done harsh things to their foes minds. :emlaugh:

Remember this thread doing the season.
Tigerpride will get a reality check when his Blue Bengal Tigers play the SWAC West this season.
Some folks don't have a clue.
It is very simple, the earlier you have to prepare and compete the greater your chance for success.
Why do you think D-I schools play in Hawaii, the Alaska shootout and in Puerto Rico along with traveling in Europe.

By the way his first reality check will take place in Baton Rouge this fall.

JR, that's all good but this is a 3 day tourney in August. I am sure they won't be given a whole lot of practice time for that. I'm not knocking it. Just don't make it more than what it is.

This is not as funny as you all's football diatribe but it's STILL funny.

Three no-name teams....in CANADA, and they think it's something to brag about in August?! This is just going too far, but I understand why they're doing it.:smh:

Those shootout games are in October and November, which gives teams plenty of time to gel together come March. Nobody talks about exhibition games in August, especially when they're playing misfit teams from Canada.

And as far as Fall is concerned, check out the last two JSU/su games held at Mumfy. What was the outcome?

They may as well play Pugh and her squad or the summer freshmen all-stars.

Don't forget Admiral Greggs and Jackson. lol

Why do we waste our time with Bert and Ernie? The trip to Canada provides them a chance to get a jump-start on the season and develop team chemistry. Nothing like traveling abroad to strengthen team bonds.

A NCAA rule that allows a team extra practice time and time to gel before the season.

JSU fans? Thoroughly unaware.

Clueless.

So, in typical JSU fashion, they attempt to "mock" what they have no knowledge of and don't understand. Further displaying their idiocy before the world.

:clap::clap::clap:

Well done, TP and JayRob.

Well done.

oh, it's to strengthen team bond? :snicker:

(I need to write this stuff down)

Nobody is/was mocking ya'll. I just don't see 3 extra days of practice making a world of difference. It certainly can't hurt tho. I'm glad ya'll getting the chance to play and to play early. I actually wish SWAC teams the best unlike most of ya'll. BUT people like YOU and JR always miss the point.

Yeah.

I definitely missed that "TP wishes SU the best" post.

:)

So tell that to two-time national champion coach of the Florida Gators, Billy Donovan. He does it every time Florida is eligible to do it.

After I figured out what the hell you were tryna say, I can officially say.. THAT AIN"T MY POINT.

SU people forever missing the dayum point!

TP, you don't have a point.

JR has already told you that your point and your place in this thread is on the sidelines.

So, be a good sideline ho and exit stage left.

While we're at it... we are all aware that teams are allowed to scrimmage other schools before the season starts I hope.

As for the travel games SU is playing it's not bragging just statement of fact that they are doing a tour. We should all want our schools doing it. It's not 3 days of practice...it's more like 2 weeks of practice. That significant. It does allow the building of team chemistry and gives coaches an early look and allows young guys to play through mistakes without being yanked back to the bench. It also helps in giving teams a chance to be competitive not in March but in November and December..you now....when we normally get beat to death.

Exactly.

And I can't think of a better year to be more prepared to be competitive early in the season than this year.
